I live in a country where B&N will probably never sell its e-readers. But one of the local companies imports Nook. And I want to buy the Nook Simple Touch. The problem is that I don't have a credit card.
You see, I don't need credit card to buy the Nook from the local company, but I am worried if without billing credentials, the Nook Touch will even work for the side-loaded books. I read on B&N's site that I will have to register the Nook at startup and that I should have billing credentials handy. I know I won't be able to buy B&N books, but will I be able to register the Nook without billing information, and be able to read sideloaded books?
