Jen (jayebee) | 251 comments Quite a few 1 *s this challenge...

The Excalibur Murders by J.M.C. Blair - I dislike cozies at the best of times & this one was exceptionally awful. Boring, repetitive, & lame.

Girl Cook by Hannah Mccouch - Just a weak effort at writing fiction.

Flight by Darren Hynes - Annoying beginning, long middle, & one of the worst endings. Nothing good to say about this one.

Pieces of My Sister's Life by Elizabeth Joy Arnold - So unnecessarily long! Pure garbage that just repeats itself over & over again & goes nowhere. The characters don't think, talk, or react like sensible humans. Unforgivable!

Kristine (kristinekae) | 251 comments My two least favorite,
What Is the What
It wasn't the subject that I didn't care for, it was the writing.
La's Orchestra Saves the World
Just blah to me.

The Dog Stars by Peter Heller
Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
The Marlowe Papers by Ros Barber
Fuse by Julianna Baggott
Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James

Solar by Ian McEwan

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

Some of these I rated 2 stars for my records. I plead temporary insanity. They suck - all of them.

A Desirable Residence by Madeleine Wickham.

Really loved her Sophie Kinsella books, but this one was just blah.. Rated it with 1 star.

Chris (chrismd) | 1237 comments The Chemistry of Tears - Serious contender for my worst book of the year.

The Alchemist - What does everyone else see in this book that I missed?

The Alchemist - There went several hours of my life I'll never get back.

Await Your Reply - Really wanted to like this but just couldn't.

Beautiful Redemption - Disppointing ending to an otherwise wonderful series.

Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers, #1) by Tara Sivec worst book I read this year so far, I hope I never read anything from this author again.

2*
The Ex Games by Jennifer Echols I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella A Negotiated Marriage by Noelle Adams V for Vendetta by Alan Moore (I want to like this, because I like the movie, but this was not for me.)

Baby Bonanza by Maureen Child I gave this one 2*, but I was not expecting anything form this, so I was not disappointed or let down.
