Tame My Heart by Joan Fox is a historical novel set in Victorian England and is the sequel to The Reluctant Duke.
This story continues with Lady Briella Thorndyke, the young independent sister of Antonio, as the half-Spanish young lady tries to find love in English Society. Realizing that her dream of going to the Spanish Riding School was not going to happen, Briella stays in London. She rescues a stallion and disguises herself as a jockey to ride him.
Lord Terence Kilburn, the Earl of Landoon, is in London to convince the British Parliament that the Irish are starving due to the great potato famine. He sees the stallion and wants to buy it but is told it is not for sale. After meeing her at a ball, he becomes convinced that the jockey riding the stallion is really Lady Briella. Tempestuous shenanigans ensue.
