You can edit the description to the correct language should you so choose to.
Beware of the default description checkbox, this will apply the description to all editions that do not have their own personal description. Which is one of the main causes of descriptions being in the incorrect language.
So, as the answer was not exactly what I asked about I thought I'd try to clarify my question here instead.
Here's the original question
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
But, what I was looking for was not policy on new titles (as I interpret the linked-to reply means), but rather how to deal with existing titles does the same apply to them as well and should such errata be reported to a librarian for an update (whenever one has time to do such of course)?
And in general, why does this happen, I have a hard time imagine anyone entering the Swedish translation of the Russian title, but still entering a Russian description, so this is maybe a bit technical but I really wondered whether the incorrect language was maybe due to the book having a (correct) description in its native language but missing description in the translation, and that caused the original text to be displayed instead of a blank ? Just since that would make it easier to solve I guess, since then nothing would get deleted if corrected but merely an additional description added.
And again, to repeat from the first question, is there anything I can do myself to assist in such cases ?
