Officially from today we can use images and other data from Amazon.

Please crop WHITE fields and any signs that do not belong in the title, or request in the Librarian group for picture update.

Thank you.

How to grab a cover without the Take a look inside and Kindle edition signs, without cropping.

Those two signs are added on the top of the picture and the picture can be grabbed without them.

Open the amazon page for the kindle edition.
I will use completely random example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0...

Right click on the image and "Copy image URL":

then paste in the address bar to open only the image:

Delete the following parts from the picture URL:
PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight, - the part indicating the take a look inside
and
,BottomRight, - the part for Kindle Edition

End link:

RESULT:

Save the picture and upload on GR.

Have fun.

Update on the information for getting a clear image without the WHITE space. From any url copied of picture you can remove EVERYTHING after the first dot to the .jpg

Example:

amazon com/ images/I/ ...
51JFJRxMuVL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_SX385_SY500_CR,0,0,385,500_SH20_OU02_.jpg

=> 51JFJRxMuVL.jpg

This will get a BIGGER version of the picture.
