Which fictional character would you most like to meet?

Many characters jump quickly to mind - Milton's Satan, Tom Jones, Nick Adams, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Frankenstein, Captain Ahab, and a few others. However, if I had to choose only one fictional character, I think I'd most enjoy having a few beers with John Falstaff. I think old John and I could really light up a tavern.

Most like to meet - The Djinn in the lamp from 1001 Nights. He could help get house, garden and finances into order.Least like to meet - Dr Benway (Burroughs) in an operating theatre just as the sedative starts to take hold.
Uhhh. Holden Caulfield. Although I'd probably wind up hating him. And Hamlet. Same.But one I'd definitely like would be Luther from Sound and the Fury. I think that kid is hilarious,and patient. "Ben-cwicher slobberin' an moanin'!" And, Boo Radley.
Frodo Baggins and Alyosha Karamazov - - however I might need to take a crash course in Russian before conversing with Alyosha.
What a great question...I have to give this some serious thought!
I would love to have a conversation with Scarlett O'Hara. She would make things interesting, and most likely would cause the evening to be one I would never forget! She's so saucy! I think we'd get a kick talking about things.
Scarlett probably wouldn't talk to you......you're a woman, a competitor.
Brilliant question..and i have to agree with Psmith haha. If only we could put an evening together at Blandings with Psmith, Gally, Uncle Fred and Ukridge, then what-ho, game on sport. Let the animal spirits commence !

I think I would invite them to dinner on a cold December evening - there would be lots to eat and drink (Dick would make punch), a roaring fire and very comfy armchairs to sit in once the meal was finished (Pooh Bear would be encouraged to bring a left over jar of honey with him (I would order in loads) just incase he felt like a little something later on)
