Hi. My name is Matt Langford and I'm not quite 40. I've been writing inconsistently since the age of 11. As I've grown older I imagine some wisdom may have edged it's way into my more usual behaviour, but there remains the distinct possibility I may have dodged this particular bullet.
I work full time as an ITU nurse in Exeter. My two children thank me every day for various duties. My wife is about to enter a very stressful 2 year period of post-graduate education which will render us broke and suspended within a vortex of uncertainty. So what better time to devote myself to a writing career.
I have released two books so far. A collection of my short stories, written over the past 15 years entitled The Burning man prophecies http://amzn.to/187EEGz has done fairly well. My big project, however is The Watchman http://amzn.to/12Pidl3 a tale told by Adam, a young man with a learning difficulty as he enters through his first years of adulthood and witnesses the breakup of his family.
I hope to release another title this year, The Honeytree Flock. Told through the eyes of a wise old pigeon, the reader is treated to an old fashioned fable concerning the life of the 'great' Medeek, a gentle, extraordinary seagull living on the rooftop of a vast hospital.

Hi. Thanks for the warm welcome. One question - I tried to post details for my novel in the new releases group but, as yet, there is nothing there. Are new threads moderated prior to going published under this particular heading? Or have I made a boo boo?
