If I come across a tough read I also like to focus on one chapter at a time. I do what you recommend too, where I put the book down and take a small break. Keeps me in practice.

Chaucer! I'm preparing to study his works properly. Shakespeare is easy for me as I was exposed to his works as a child, and have performed since I was 7. Chaucer me thinks.
