What should I read?

Lately I have been having a hard time finding a book that is worth finishing. I'm really kind of getting discouraged since i love to read and it is my way to escape my life for a bit.
There are two books that i already own that I'm debating on but wanted your opinions so I don't find another dud. The two choices are Dark Lover (Black dagger Brotherhood #1) by J.R. Ward or DEstined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress #4) by Jeanine Frost.
I've already read 1-3 of the Night Huntress books and like them. But I have not read anything from J.R. Ward. So I'd love your opinions. also if you have any other recommendations please let me know. Like I said I just don't want to find another dud.

I would read Dark Lover first Destined for an Early Grave was good but I think you may desire a bit of a change :-)

I havent read either (they are on my list) but have heard both are very good. From what I hear you wont be disappointed with either.

So realized that I didn't have Dark Lover and the Library won't have it for a couple more weeks. But I ended up borrowing which I guess is the first 3 books in that series by Patricia Briggs. So I'm excited about reading that.

Dark lover is a must...... BDB and the vampire queen by joey W. Hill are my favorite series. Although if you don't like bdsm I would read the vampire queen ;)
