Erica Pike (ericapike) | 5 comments Tough dilemma. On one hand you don't want these books to be separated, on the other you want the LGBT titles to be found easily by those who are looking for them (I know I'd want a separate section at my library so I wouldn't have to sort through all the other titles, but I'm an adult and not a shy kid). Will there be an easy way for people to find these titles if they're placed in between the other books?

Jennifer (jenni719) | 1 comments I can see both points of view here. Ideally, gbltq books should be right in with the "regular" books but realistically $500 is not going to buy a huge amount of books and putting them with all the other books may make them difficult to find. Many of the kids who will be reading these books are likely struggling with their sexual identity so you want to make the books as accessible as possible for them without weeding through all kinds of other books.
As far as keeping it in the classroom, I disagree with you because if its only in one class room, it's only really accessible to people taking classes in that room.

Becko The rainbow stickers in with the all the other books sounds good and how about a list of lgBT titles with the teacher who runs the GSA.
