Vincent Chough | 26 comments If you were offered $500 a day to sit in a chair for thirty minutes every morning at 6 a.m. would you do it? How about for $1000? Why do we find it so hard to dedicate time to prayer?

What value do you place on time spent alone with God? Does it make any difference in real life?

If you are looking for a sugar coated message that will make you feel good for only a short while, then look somewhere else. But if you want solid answers and a lasting change in your character, then follow the advice in this book.

Be With Him, Be Like Him is a short (9700 words) insightful book about why and how to pray. It provides reasons, instructions and examples that help you get closer to God all through the practice of prayer. You will find the information uplifting and enlightening. And you will be challenged like never before.

Just released on Kindle... Blessings!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I just got John Wesley's book, how to Pray to use as a guide for the next month. After that, I may just get the book you suggested. btw When you are praying, remember my daughter Tina, she believes but is an alcoholic and needs to get help soon. Thanks.

Hi John, I'll pray for your daughter Tina. The Lord has placed a burden in my heart for people just such as she who are struggling. He has nudged me to write my novels in such a way that those with issues might be able to read them, gain insight, find enjoyment, but most of all feel the Lord's love, not condemnation. I pray I've done that and continue to do that.

This is a huge issue for me...people who believe but who are still in bondage of some kind.
