Hello! My name is Tavi. I read especially Russian literature, but I also translate books from Romanian to English. I've translated three so far; the most recent one is about deportations in Siberia.I currently reread Crime and Punishment.
Hello everyone. My name is Ahmed, I am Iraqi by nationality, I was born in Kuwait where I lived almost half of my life, I then resided in temporary homes in Emirates, Egypt, and just recently, China. I'm a dentist by day, and writer by night. The reason why I love reading novels, especially different corners of the world, is not only because it's the cheapest vacation, but also to look through the stereotype, and the media and embrace diversity and originality in story people and their stories. It is the reason why I also write, in hopes to make a connection. Nice meeting you all.

I would appreciate suggestions both of Russian and Romanian auth..."Hello Bee and thank you for your welcome. I am about to start reading Laurus. I heard it is a very good book (translated from Russian). I am very fond of Solzhenitsyn, as well. As for Romanian, there are not many translations. There are some poems by Eminescu, Mihai, if you're interested. Not much literature, as far as I know. I've translated a couple of books from Romanian, but they are not literary books (philosophy and history).
I actually look forward to see suggestions coming from within this group as well. Take care!
