Jeni I actually like that, if it's done well. I enjoy seeing everything that happens from a neutral perspective.

Samantha The Escapist You're refering to third-person?

I like third person well enough, I don't know though. I always feel my brain trying to locate the boundaries of the scope, which is why I prefer third person to show me the world through a singular character's experience.

If it switches focus from character to character (unless it's a specific few) it feels untidy to me.

I guess it's just the ocd/perfectionism side of me that prefers first-person accounts because it never leaves me wondering about the identity of the disembodied narrator.

Jen I agree. I enjoyed reading this book from the third person. I liked to see the characters emotions from the outside looking in. At times I would wonder what Jace was thinking and if he were the narrator the suspense would have been gone. I love these books and cannot wait for the movie!
