Okay so it s romance and a touch of mistery plus magic.
IT s in a world where there are psychs and they are registered and given a level based on their powers. The hero is wealthy and is very powerful but no one knows his level .He hires the girl through a firm because she was one of the few psychs with the highest level.Do not remember how it works but the psychs link with the person and they are acting like some kind of arc...they make them more powerful. There s a nasty politician that has the power to influence people who wants the girl because she is strong enough for his power.
I could be wrong about this but in this world they have to register in a matchmaking firm to find the person they would marry.

To Ride Pegasus is about how psychics begin to be registered and given levels. It's written as though it were four or five short stories, but they're all connected. In one of them, there is a woman who can enhance telepathic links, and there is a guy trying to control her for political purposes.

There's also some sequels: Pegasus in Flight and others. The story you're thinking about may be in this book, but I'm pretty sure it's in the first one.

Possibly Jayne Ann Krentz Arcane Society Novels? They have a "matching" service in them for those that are in the society and ppl are given different power ranks up to 10 i believe.

Maybe the second one in the series White Lies I think in that one the hero his his power lvl and what his power was.

XD..u guys forgot the nasty politician .....they first meet him at a party ...thats why the hero hired her , because somneone was trying to harm him or steal from him , and she was supposed to help him scan the people without getting suspicious. The nasty politician stays until the end , he s the bad dude .....anyway psy changeling *nice series* read it , arcane society ...huh( runs to read it) brb ..*after 1 day* ookay ,,that was kinda awesome ...thanks for trying but no dice :C...

ah, there are a few in the Arcane Society series (12 in total i believe),I have only read the one or two, so not sure if any of the others fit. The Matching service rang a bell with that though, and being "ranked" up to 10 with 10 being the most powerful.

Sounds like one of Jayne Ann Krentz but when she writes as Jayne Castle there were 3 in the St Helen's series - Amaryllis, Zinnia and Orchid.

Very similar to the Arcane books but not in that series.
