Silverlighters # 1 - Series Synopsis:

Imagine if you found out everything you ever knew was a lie ... if you had to change your name and start over again, leaving everything you knew behind. If you found out those closest to you were part of the lie.

What if your memories had been stolen? The memories of the boy you loved. Of your very first kiss ... what would you do? How would you react? What if you found out he was the one that stole them from you?

How far would you go to protect those you love? What would you do to get them back? Only time will tell...

This is my story. I only hope I get to finish it before it is too late. Too late for you. Too late for me. Too late for all of us.

Because ... the end is coming, and I've been shown a glimpse of it.

You might think this is just a story. But it is real. It's already begun and you need to know what's coming....

Response from one of my fantabulous beta readers, Lani Ayers.

"You sent silverlighters to me at 8:30 this morning and I just finished it!!! I absolutely loved it and my heart was pounding through the second half of the book!!! I will think about it and go over my notes and send you my feedback by the end of the weekend. I just had to let you know I couldn't put it down!!!"

Responses from other beta readers (I haven't attributed their names as I have not got their permission yet).

I just wanted to let you know that I'm halfway through your book, and that I'm totally enjoying it! Your first chapter was awesome in my opinion. I was really hanging onto the edge of my seat, sitting up straight and paying close attention. It's really good! =)

So sorry it took me so long to start reading this, not only because it's been over a week but also because I'm saddened by the amount of time I wasted in getting to know Jen/Ellie ... I was so engrossed in this book that I couldn't put it down (except when I HAD to go weed the garden and even then I was thinking about it)So. First thoughts. It's an amazing story that left me with more questions than answers. I love it when that happens

Overall I absolutely loved the book and will continue to read the series. As a reader I love the concept, I love the mystery of whom and what everyone is and what they can do ... I would absolutely rate this book 5 stars out of 5 because even with the mystery and questions, after reading it twice I still thoroughly enjoyed it and don’t think I’ve read anything like it in the past and I love that!

If you would like to request an Advanced Reader Review copy of Silverlighters Part 1 - pop your name below, your preferred format, and email (or private message me).

If you are not sure what an advanced reader review copy means - it is simple - in return for getting a free copy of the book, you write a review for the book on Goodreads, and also on Amazon (when it is published). It doesn't have to be long and in depth - just an honest opinion on what you think of book 1.

Also, advanced warning - this is a continuing series. Book 1 doesn't tie up nice and neatly (though book 2 is nearly ready and it answers many of the questions in book 1).

ARC List - let me know if I missed you. SO excited - very close to publishing now :)

Thank you to all these wonderful people … everything helps when you are an indie - especially honest reviews!!

Fatima
Sara
Lani
Jennifer
Amanda
Ch'aska
Anushka

ps - if you contacted me privately via email, I haven't added your name to the list above to preserve your privacy, but you are on my list :)

That would be amazing Fatima, thank you. Your timing is perfect, as once I have made a few changes over the weekend, I would love another beta. I would also love a review :) I should warn you though (forgot to mention it in the description)Book one doesn't wrap up nice and neatly, and most of the 'answers' are in book 2 (which is nearly ready). I will email you a copy, but totally understand if this sort of story (continuing series style) is not your thing. I know it bugs some people (to put it lightly, lol)

fatima | 3 comments Actually I quite like continuing series as it means that I get to see more of the characters I like. And if I like the first book it will only encourage me to read the next one.Anyways I don't mind.

Brilliant - it will be great to get an opinion from someone who knows it is a continuing series style. Thank you :) I like continuing series for the same reason (but I get so mad when the next book isn't ready lol)

fatima | 3 comments Same here.specially if there is a cliffhanger ending and the next book is being released after almost a year, that is when I feel like crying from frustration!:P

Amanda Phillips | 5 comments *sigh* I just had a chance to start this one and within three pages I had forgotten that I was beta reading. This has already drawn me in so much that I've forgotten to be on the lookout for anything wonky! Just wanted to tell you that :)

LMAO - too funny - glad it drew you in. I think most of the mistakes have been picked up now anyway, so your thoughts on the story line would be awesome ... did you see my note (apology) about forgetting to mention it was only part 1 of a 2 part book? Book 2 will be ready soon though :)

Just wanted to say how amazing you all are. I can't thank you enough for your incredible feedback, but you have all done so much more than that. I get so nervous about my stories/writing, and am still self-conscious about it - but your feedback has really really helped with that - an unexpected bonus!!

Hope you all have a brilliant weekend. I LOVE the weekend. There should be more of them :) Work totally gets in the way of things if you ask me, but those damn bills have to be paid.

Melanie Hays (melaniehays) Let me know when it is officially official and I'd love to do a blog post for you :)

Amanda Phillips | 5 comments Haha yes, everything gets in the way of a good book. Work, gardening, cleaning, boyfriends wanting a date night (thankfully mine understands the pull of a good book and doesn't mind me reading in the car on the way! After two years he doesn't question it anymore :) ).

I did see that before I had gotten very far into it, so thanks for the warning.

If also love to help with a release party type blog post on my own website.

Sure does lol. You are lucky to have such an understanding boyfriend :) Glad you got the warning. And that would be INCREDIBLE thank you - I have never done a 'release' party before.

Amanda Phillips | 5 comments The email gods ate the emails we've sent back and forth but I wanted to let you know that I reread it and still have the same ideas/feelings that we've already talked about. Would love to read it again for you when you finalize the edits you were talking about to see how it meshes now.
