Sophie looked down and shrugged, a tear forming in her eye. "Yeah."

Sophie wrapped her arms around him tightly, her head in his chest.
"Thank you," she whispered. She bit her lip very hard to keep from sobbing.

"The strong girl? I'm so weak," she said, stifling a sob.

Sophie looked up at him, and wiped her tears away quickly. "O-okay," she said quietly. "Thank you."

Sophie shrugged. "Maybe," she said to her feet.
"I haven't met many...," she said, trying to avoid his eyes.

"If you say so," she said, starting to believe him.

Sophie nodded slowly. "Thank you."
Sophie looked down at her feet again. "I should probably go home."
Sophie nodded gratefully and started walking again.
Sophie let him hold her hand, mostly because she liked the affection right now.

Sophie shrugged dismissively. "Not really," she said. She didn't think anything he could do would help at all. It would only make things worse for her and him, she thought.

Sophie stopped, taking all his promises in. "Okay. Can I have your number?" She asked him. That was a big step for her... well, for this Sophie that she was right now, seeing as she was feeling very vulnerable.
"I'll just put it in my phone," she said, remembering she'd put it in her back pocket. "Thanks for offering me the pen thought," she said with a wink. She took it out and went to her contacts. "Okay, ready."

Sophie laughed a bit. "Oh, I guess I can give you my number," she said, pretending that she was exasperated that she had to do something like that. She told him her number and then smiled.

Sophie laughed, again. "Oh wow, you should be so proud that your evil plans are going as planned," she said and giggled.
"Adorable?" she asked and scrunched up her nose with pursed lips. "I wouldn't call it adorable," she insisted.

Sophie blushed and crossed her arms over her chest. "Is not!" she exclaimed playfully.
Sophie giggled girlishly and bit her lip to stop. "Thanks," she finally said.
"You're cute," she decided with a smirk.
Sophie smiled at him and then looked ahead. "Let's go, again," she suggested.
Sophie looked down at their hands, starting to walk. "I hope you don't think we're together," she sai dbluntly.
"Right," she said, kind of relieved. It wasn't him, it's just... if he was her boyfriend, she knew she would probably actually love him. It wouldn't just be a fling. And she didn't want to get hurt.

Sophie shrugged, her smile slippin away. "Okay, I'll think about it..."
