I am trying to help John M. Daniel get his goodreads page to show all the books he has written and none of the ones he didn't write. This is one he told me is not his. I assume it was written by some other John M. Daniel. How do I get it off the page for John M. Daniel?

Hi.First look up all the similar authors from the author page. http://www.goodreads.com/author/simil...
Then combine all authors that are the same:
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
and
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
(I removed the third one which had NO books and some dates in the name)
This is done by adding the doth after the initial on the first profile page. Merge INTO the profile with the doth!!!
Then combine appropriate books that were repeating on both profiles.
Then separate the books that are not his by changing John M.^Daniel to John M.^^ Daniel (Only for the books that are not your friends). That will create a second profile for the other author. (^ is equal to ONE space). Check if the second author has any repeating author profiles by searching by books names and author without initials. merge profiles and combine editions for second profile.
Then send the link to your friend so he can claim the author profile. He will be able to edit hes own books. This is done by going to the authors profile. Click "Is this you? Let us know. If " and send him the link to the page.

Oh sorry, i didn't sow Nancy is a librarian, my bad!
No worries :) She can still combine the authors if she wants to. Still a good experience. I often don't see it as well and just edit stuff.
