Push Away… Chp 37



Craig asked, “Tyler, are you married?”

He looked down at Craig, “Not anymore.” He stood up and looked down at me whispering, “You okay?”

It was interesting to me that he said not anymore. To me, that was confirmation that he was not married. I let him know I was okay; but he wasn’t and he left the room. Mr. Jenkins saved me with a lecture that maybe relationship discussion should be kept to our night life instead of at work. He helped me clean up and nudged me, “You should check on him.”

I glanced up at him feeling ill. I shook my head, “I think I have to go home.”

I tipped a little, and he grabbed my arm, “Joselyn, you okay?”

“Yeah, but I feel weird. I think I will…” I put my hand to my head.

He helped me to sit down, “I am going to get Tyler.”

I grabbed his hand shaking my head, “No, I am fine. I think I will take a sick day for the rest of the day. If he asks, just let him know I went home, but don’t say anything if he doesn’t ask. Please Mr. Jenkins?”
