LOVE this series! I love how this author keeps your eyes glued to the page and keeps the storyline exciting. I am reading the series that is the prequel to the Mortal Instruments, cslled the Infernal Devices. I am SO EXCITED for this movie!

I don't know if it's just me but I see some similarities between Mortal Instruments and Harry Potter. Does anyone else see the similarities?

I'm currently reading the Mortal Instruments series (on the third book) and sorry to all MI fans - I think the series absolutely sucks! Really weird idea, not-so-likeable characters, and the writing style is so not good. Dunno why so hype about the series on GR....but I'm yet continuing to read it....hope Infernal Devices is better..

I SO don't like this series.......!! I know everyone here's crazy bout it but it's way too kiddish and messy for me....stopped after the second book...actually, I started with the third one but couldn't bear to go on.....and the characters were so bad!! Jace was the nly standout:)

I'm just starting w/City of Ashes. So far it's okay, although far pales in comparison to the Infernal Devices...

My mom didn't read the whole series because she didn't like it to. I think she stopped somewhere around the second book.
I think it is an okay series but I have read better
