Our Mutual Friend
question
friend requests

Why do people ask to be a Goodreads friend when they show no sign of reading, i.e., have more than 100 GR friends, ZERO books read?

Maybe they haven't read this quote!
“No man can be called friendless who has God and the companionship of good books.”

Joan, I've asked the same question on FB! The ones I question aren't authors. They seem to have a compulsive "friend collection" issue.
I've wondered that too. I only have two friends and one of them is my daughter who never reads anything and I keep sending her recommendations just to annoy her. I read almost all classics, so the self published writers skip me I guess!! Back to the books!
Its an insidious plot for global takeover!
:p
:p
a lot of them seem to be self published writers who want you to review their books
