Catching Fire
question
Do you think that Katniss may have an actual desire towards Peeta and just can't decide?

I think it's a desire she keeps from herself. Some people often accidently keep secrets from themselves.

Yeah... have you? ;) IF YOU HAVEN'T READ MOCKINGJAY, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER, however, if you have read it, but you just don't understand: (view spoiler) xx
At this point, I think, Katniss doesn't know what to think or how to feel. She certainly got feelings for Peeta. She also got them for Gale. She's not sure what they are exactly in either case. And then there's the Capitol and the whole act for the public meddling with it all.
The new cover is so expensive. :(
I was about to buy Catching Fire when the older cover was phased out already. Its depressing me all this time. I want to continue reading the book. :(

I think she loves Peeta but for all the wrong reasons. I also don't think that she loves him enough to be ever 'in love' with him. Not at this point of the series and not in the end.
possibly the stress from everything put together caused her to be not quite all there when she agreed to marry Peeta. I mean Peeta?... over Gale? give me a break!
Yes she certainly has feelings for him but she dosnt realize yet ... I mean she really cares about him!
Yes but she is just confused because she like two people gale and peeta and shes know gale since her father had died and shes liked peeta since the games and she loves him for a different reson she loves gale so basically she loves both of them for different reasons but she knows in her heart that peeta is the one.
In my opinion love is not just butterflies and sweaty hands or the physical appearance, it's something more deeper than that (I can't explain better) and I see that with Katniss and Peeta and with Gale just a crush.
I think she does but is like keeping those feelings from herself because she feels guilty about what happened between them in the hunger games. It wasn't until the end of the book when he stormed off that the feelings were getting stronger but her guilt about everything that was happening in the second book was keeping her from registering them.
