Bit of a mess - merge required?

Okay, I'm a librarian but a new one, so I thought maybe someone with a bit more experience might know better how to handle this.

Firstly, there's this Hill & Wang edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62... - it should have ISBN13: 9780374523497

But that has been given to this Vintage edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/49... - and it also has the wrong (Hill & Wang) cover. It has ISBN 0099135019 and should have ISBN13: 9780099135012

But that has been given to another instance of the Vintage edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59... - which has the right (Vintage) cover.

So ideally those two should be merged, but I'm not sure which one would be deleted, or either could be deleted, as I'm not sure where to see how many times each has been shelved. Plus there's getting the right cover, ISBNs and they have different descriptions...

(Also there's a third instance of the Vintage edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... - but that's an alternative cover edition, so can be left as is).

Oh Yuck! Erm, I wouldn't move ISBNs without Rivka, BUT users may have shelved by cover rather than ISBN, so I don't know!

If you run the ISBN13 through a converter the ISBN10 should be:
0374523495

So I think first thing is to make the ISBN's correct on one edition

Yeah, I think the first move is to delete the ISBN13 from the 1st Vintage and give it to the Hill & Wang, where it belongs, but I thought it best these books hadn't last been edited by me before I raised this topic. :)

Well I removed the mismatched ISBNs from http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/49... and gave one each to http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... and http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59... to match the single ISBN each of them already had, so those two now seem okay.

But that leaves http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/49... with no ISBNs, and since it previously had mismatched Vintage and Hill & Wang ISBNs, described itself as a Vintage edition but had a Hill & Wang cover, it's not clear what people who shelved this edition would have had in mind when selecting it.

What to do with what appears to be a spurious edition isn't clear, to me at least.
