Cant wait to see the movie directed by sam raimi
It broke my heart when i read about her sister who she had been trying so hard to save.

I had so little hope left for paranormal romances and post apocalyptic YA and just read this book because of my angel/wing fetish and some kind of morbid curiosity... and I was SO blown away! Penryn is so very different from characters like The Hunger Games' Katniss or Divergent's Tris, she truly IS strong and she never exaggerates how much she is suffering.
(No offense, though - if you liked those books, I am glad for you. They just were definitely not my cup of tea.)
I also loved Raffe and how he was sarcastic and reserved without being a creepy jerk whom I wanted to kick in the balls, as far too many "heroes" of YA romances these days tend to be. Despite all his utter coolness, Raffe was so caring and vulnerable! Loved it. The plot was just geat, too, and the worldbuilding made perfect internal sense.
The ending left me whining for more. It was everything I did not expect, basically, without geting absurd.
And there is going to be a movie? I never knew! Then I want Ian Somerhalder or Gaspard Ulliel for Raffe. If we could make Brooke Shields sixteen (or maybe twenty) again, I'd love her for Penryn. If not, Emma Watson will do.

kirstin ✿ OH MY GOSH! You said everything I want to say. And I never am a fan of Tris myself. In fact I kinda hated her, she's not just human enough imo. ...more

I loved it one of the best books I have ever read :) and I just pray that they won't screw up the casting

I thought the book was incredible. I couldn't put it down once I got started. It was fascinating. I hope the movie lives up to the book. I'm excited that Sam Raimi is directing, I think he'll do the book some justice.

The BEST book EVER!!!!!

I thought it was one of the most unique YA books I've ever read. Penryn was such a badass!!

It was surprising, after the disappointment of the fallen series and hush hush, the brutality and shock factor just kept me on the edge of my seat and had to keep reading. I was not expecting anything truly horrible to happen, but they did, and fallen and hush hush look like a childish fairy tale. I can't wait for the second book.

LOVED it. Action, character development, amazing plot, cool characters, kickass heroine. AMAZING.

I absolutely loved this book! Definitely one of the best I have read in a long while. I really loved how the romance progressed so naturally, and how the book wasn't dominated by the romance, as is seen in most YA books. Definitely looking forward to book 2, but not sure how this would play out in the movies...

At first i thought: *Yawn* How boring!
But then i got to the end and it mad everything just like WOW Freaking awesome xD

Did i miss a book before this as I must admit was a little slow to start for me tgan got part way thought not bad, shame not much romance between main charcters .

At first I thought it was going to be a light read judging by the cover. Then I started to read it and it was not what I expected. It was way better than I thought it'd be. I'm in a morning period right now. I haven't been able to pick up another book since Angelfall. It's still so fresh in my head. I LOVED everything about it. I'm dying to read the second book, and I freaked out when I saw they're going to make it into a movie.
