Since I'm only starting out. I'll do it for free.

Raymond Koonce (goodreadscomraymond_koonce) | 71 comments I'd be glad for another opinion/critique of my work. How do I get the book to you?

Ok I will send you the first chapter for you to get a feel for my style. What file format do you prefer me to send it in?

Flopperstein (Shajeela) (shajeela) | 6 comments That sounds perfect. I'd prefer a word document.

Contact me if you would? Crossroad Press is always looking for more proofers / copy-editors. We pay a small fee (we are a small company) but it's a good variety of books.

Emma Faragher | 31 comments Is this offer still valid? Or if not what are your fees now? I have a short story of 9600 words that needs polished a little and a longer 60,000 word novel that I am looking around for proofreading for but which is still several weeks from the end of my current round of edits.

Jeanette Cleveland | 21 comments I would like to know also if it's still valid. I am writing my first book and just would like some editing feedback to make sure I am on the right track

Raymond Koonce (goodreadscomraymond_koonce) | 71 comments For whatever it's worth, I sent my book to Flopperstein a little over a month ago and have heard nothing since. I queried her via email a few days ago and have had no response. Hope she's okay.

If this is your first book I don't think you want an editor, as Flopperstein describes it. You need someone you can trust to tell you whether you are going about it the right way, to test your ideas, not your writing. Worry about the mechanics when you have a book you believe in, when the creative buzz is still on you.
