Morgan Ngl this is the only book where I wish there was a love triangle. Thoughts?

Jennifer With Allie and Jackal? Or with Allie and Kanin?

I feel like Jackal is Allie's brother and Kanin is her dad so I like her with Zeke best.

Estelle (E) Argh.. Are we supposed to see Kanin as a dad?

:-(

Nat I don't want to see Kanin as a dad. I love Kanin. He is so my fav.

Jennifer I see Kanin more as a father figure and Allie even says the same. She says I want to say he is almost like a father but that isn't quite the right word but she thinks of him along those lines.

Rebecca I think we are supposed to see Kanin as a kind of father figure since he sired her, so I doubt there will ever be an kind of love triangle there. Same thing with Jackal, they have a brother/sister thing going on, which Jackal refers to himself multiple times in the books, so no to a love triangle with him either. Also Allie and Zeke are so nice together why ruin it?

Renae I ship Allie with everyone! I don't believe she will have anything romantic with Jackal or Kanin, though. Especially since Kagawa has said that with the blood ties, Kanin and Jackal are related to her.

Lady Light I know I wanted to ship Allie with Jackal and Kanin but they were bonded by blood ties such as a brother or a father. So it didn't feel right but what the heck.

Linda I dont think there will be any romance between Allie and Jackal or Allie and Kanin as i feel they are like family.
But i am hoping that when Jackal and Kanin reach eden that they find romance with some humans as well.

Laura I don't think there should be a love triangle, even though I did ship Allie with Kanin for a minute but it is obvious that Kanin wouldn't want to be with Allie in that way and Allie and Zeke are way too cute to have another love triangle. I would hate it there was a love triangle, I wouldn't be able to handle that.

But I love Jackal and Allie as friends or allies because Jackal is a sarcastic bastard, which I like but I wish he didn't want to take control but whatever.

And Kanin. He is my favorite. There is something about him that draws me toward him, but I can't really explain it. It was the way Allie explained him when she first became a vampire then in The Eternity Cure everything hurt because of him (plus Zeke). But ahhh.

I don't see a love triangle happening. Kagawa has done such a perfect job with these books, it would almost ruin the series.
I really hope the relationship between Jackal and Allie keeps growing, hopefully into a close friendship or strong comradeship. Actually, I would love all three of them to become closer as a unit.
I'm so frightened that Jackal and/or Kanin are going to ruin my hopes, though.

Alice I can't see Allie with Jackal and Kanin but J & K remain my favorite characters. I kind of hope another supporting character is revealed on the way an maybe like a friendship between Jackal & said character?? But I want Jackal to keep some of his evil so it'll have to go reallllllly slowly.

Also call me heartless but I don't like Zeke. I have a feeling its going to end happily ever after with Zeke & Allie but I don't want it to be. :\

Haha! You're not heartless! I hated Zeke in TMI, but I love Allie so much I never really wanted anything to happen to him because it would hurt her. Zeke did grow on me throughout TEC though.
You never know, anything could happen!

Lily I love Jackal! He is so hilarious! Sometimes I get a little tired of Zeke... he's not the badass boyfriend, though he is way past the hotness scale. but still.

Chandana A love triangle for this book...I have mixed feelings on that. (When Stick came along as Mr. Stephen, I was pretty sure he was infatuated with Allie. He was jealous of Zeke and his relationship with Allie, and he sold Zeke to Sarren, after all. May he rot in fictional hell.) I thought that person would Jackal, but he's a back-stabbing bastard brother to Allie. My opinion on him is that he is hilarious (love his sarcastic humor), and I'd be kinda sad to see him die if Zeke, Kanin, or Allison do that deed. And with Kanin, he's lived CENTURIES, and he's only a mentor to Allison. I like him like that...Don't need Allison to be the type of person who falls in love with her old teacher.
And Zeke? How is he not badass?!?!? His first appearance in The Eternity Cure was like a warrior, with the weapons and his fierce determination. He is so loyal, girls would swoon. He fights the virus and he's pretty hot...Honestly, I think he's amazing, but mixing Jackal's personality with Zeke a little wouldn't hurt. :)

Imani at first I thought there'd be a love triangle with Kanin when I read the first book. After reading the 2nd book tho, I know now that won't happen. He's just a father figure. Which was a biiiit disappointing but I was relieved at the same time lol.

For me though Jackal was the most surprising twist of all in this book. Like I couldn't love him after what he did in the first book, but his grim humor in the eternity cure made me like him at least a little. xD His sarcasm did it for me. I still don't trust me him. I mean, he's a bit nuts and completely dangerous, (I felt like Julie Kagawa made sure we knew that) but i do like him now. We'll see what happens to him book 3. and to zeke. o___X

*sigh* it's gonna be a long wait. -__-

Sara I think there is enough angst with Allie battling her vamp-vs-human nature. It would be too dramatic if she had a love triangle! I think its perfect how it is. Before she met Zeke, I did think she would fall for Kanin (and kind of thought Kanin had feelings for her in TEC), but Kanin doesn't love himself so he'd never be able to love someone else romantically. Allie is just his dream daughter. Jackal and Allie would never, could never happen. Ew ew ew ew ewwwwww. They're siblings.

Chandana I agree with Sara.

Gidget Kinda liked Jackal's character in this book though I know I shouldn't This character would translate well in a movie I think.

I do think Stick had a thing for Allie and him and Zeke would have been fighting over her if he had survived.

Celeste I liked Jackal character too. I mean we got to see some of who was, but not really into detail with him in the first book. I was glad to see who he was.

A duster is almost like a trench coat:

Audrey I kinda feel bad but I don't like Zeke that much. He was okay in the first book but in the second book he seemed too predictable and cliche. I did sense a romantic tension between Ally and Jackal but in the vampire sense I don't think that was wrong because when Zeke told her not to Turn him she started thinking of how she could which would either make him her son if she did or her brother if she convinced Kanin to Turn him. So they would be related as either brother and sister or mother and son in the vampire world but it was so they could be together.
