What Are you Reading?
Lady*M wrote: "I'm on Josephine Myles binge! I finished Screwing the System and Merry Gentlemen and now I'm off to read Junk... or The Hot Floor. Mmmmm... choices, choices..."I'm reading Merry Gentlemen now. :)

I just read All In with the Duke. I generally really like her Regencies but this one didn't quite come into focus for me. The duke was a bit too nice, basically. A very pleasant sweet read with a lot of sex but could have been more engaging. However, the character hints for the second book in the trilogy make it look amazing, so I will definitely be getting that.

I did the same thing, sort of. I was at Samhain trying to order it when it told me I'd already done so, hehe. Great story.

Yippee! I've also pre-ordered it but not looked at my Kindle so didn't know it was there. A treat in store!

Do we have too many books?
No - just joking... he he
I read yesterday First Impressions, Fuzzy, and Last Chance, short stories by Josephine Myles, and i really liked them - sweet and heartwarming, just right somehow.
I enjoyed Merry Gentlemen. It was fun and not over the top Christmas.I needed another alpha male fix, so I'm now reading Bound by Danger by S.E. Jakes. Book 4 in the Bound series. I have book 5 and pre-ordered book 6.
I can't decide what to read next. I only have, oh, hundreds of books on my kindle, but I'm looking for something with some good UST. It seems like everything I read lately they are sexin' it up in the first 20%. Any recommendations? :)

Unresolved Sexual Tension?ETA: Well, I'm sure about the sexual tension, maybe the ''unresolved'' is wrong...
Antonella wrote: "Unresolved Sexual Tension?"
Oh! Yes. Yes, in my opinion the key element to a successful romance.

Would definitely be a crucial ingredient in many a good romance ;)
Or are we talking about horror stories?

Hot Head and Widdershins? Agamemnon Frost and the House of Death has plenty of UST, but it's a three-novella series and the ST stays kind of U till book 3. Brothers of the Wild North Sea is amazing and slow burn.

I couldn't get into Hot Head..., Widdershins sounds good, it's on my list for very soon, and i completely agree - Brothers of the Wild North Sea was wonderful!
Lou wrote: "I read Demolished last night and quite enjoyed it."Demolished was fun. I read everything Astrid wrote and enjoyed each and every one of them. I love the way she builds her stories, there's actual motivation driving conflict and characters, and she has a wicked sense of humor. I can't wait for her new romance!

Well, The Magpie Lord is a perfect example of what I love! I enjoyed both Hot Head and Widdershins. I own but have not read Brothers of the Wild North Sea so that should be perfect. I'll check out Agamemnon Frost, too. Thanks!
I also loved The Darkling Thrush (of course!), Captive Prince: Volume One and Captive Prince: Volume Two, and The Student Prince.

Well, they're not heavy on the fantastical, and the world building is interesting, easy to imagine, more of an AU with a bit of magic, for me at least.
Lou wrote: "She's a deft writer. The story grabbed from the start, and while I figured out the bad guy even before he entered the page, it didn't bother me too much. I need to delve into Astrid's fantasy books. The thing is, I'm not a fantasy reader in general, so I always need a little extra push."We could always do a group read of one of her fantasy works sometime. I haven't read the Archer's Heart yet. Maybe others would be up for it too. :)

Or some Harper Fox: The Salisbury Key, Life After Joe, Driftwood or Lee Benoit: Servant of the Seasons.
ttg wrote: "We could always do a group read of one of her fantasy works sometime. I haven't read the Archer's Heart yet. Maybe others would be up for it too. :)"That would be great! :-) I'd love to reread it, but I might have to wait till next year. We also have The Rifter reread coming up.

Ooh! Aah! :-) That's so totally awesome! (if i could say that in the Dawn French teenager voice, i would :-))
I haven't read Lee Benoit *goes-to-check-it-out*
Calathea wrote: "...Lee Benoit: Servant of the Seasons.."That looks good! Have you read Ginn's Feral Machines?
KC wrote: "Have you read Ginn's Feral Machines?"
No, not yet. Looks good. I'll put it on the list. Thanks! :-)
Lou wrote: "I read Demolished last night and quite enjoyed it."Oh I didn't know about that one. Marked it as TBBR (TO be bought/read)

Valerie wrote: "I can't decide what to read next. I only have, oh, hundreds of books on my kindle, but I'm looking for something with some good UST. There's a scene around the 1/3 mark (not sure exactly, it's been several months since I read it) where the heroes dance together in a jazz club that's crazy hot, but there's no canoodling until the second half of the book.
Becky wrote: "I just finished What Binds Us, and now I have a headache from crying."I listened to that one. I know what you mean!

(and most everything else I've read by Heidi Cullinan).
I have not read Feral Machines yet, but it's Ginn Hale, so you know I want to!
I also haven't read Archer's Heart either, though I think I did buy the first book. I wouldn't mind a group read for that one either. March is free! Lol.

I keep getting reminded of books I've read before & loved, here & elsewhere, and now I want to reread ALL THE BOOKS EVER. But it's massively overwhelming; maybe I need to write out a list. Or just start at one end of a shelf & keep going till I reach the other end.

Usually I love that, sometimes it makes me panic just a little. ;)
Mostly it is great, though and I love this group for it!!
Well, I've started calling my online wishlists "Where Good Intentions Go To Die" because I have ZERO budget for new books for the foreseeable future, so...and the library here is really bad; they have almost nothing I have any desire to read in terms of books that are still under copyright. *shrug*So for the time being, I guess the "start out at one end of the shelf and keep going" plan is about the best I have for now.
Well Fairy Princes weren't doing it for me, so back to alpha males, three this time, in Bound For Keeps by S.E. Jakes.

Feel free to check out my lendable shelf. If there is anything I have that you would like to borrow (with the exception of the few I'm holding back for my scavenger hunt teammates this month, and I'll let you know if you hit one of those), I'm more than happy to lend!

I know, I feel like I can't browse Goodreads (or Twitter now, ugh!) with my kid in the room. It's like tumblr.
