Both Secrets and Scrabble audiobooks: Murder at Pirate's Cove and Secret at Skull House. Matt Haynes is a lovely narrator. I adore his calm and collected Jack voice. And it's even funnier to hear Ellery's reasoning aloud. Effective suspense too. :)

I've read some cool books lately!
--Master of Restless Shadows by Ginn Hale. Cadeleon book five! It was awesome! So excited for the last book!
--Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater. Really imaginative spinoff of The Raven Cycle. I really enjoyed it.
--Slippery Creatures by KJ Charles. So good. This author is brilliant, every single time.
--To the Flame by AE Ross. Fascinating story about a non-binary mothperson and their crush. It's very vivid and a little unusual. Mothpeople are not creatures I knew much about before, so I learned something new!

Read Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows, which was absolutely fantastic. It's funny, insightful, heartwarming, and uplifting. Every event, good or bad, is handled with care, and it kept surprising me throughout. It's been a while since I read a book where I felt I really, really didn't want it to end, and I'm already looking forward to rereading it.

I just started the audiobook for Felix Ever After and so far I'm really enjoying it! It has a slight New Adult feel to it, though it's YA. I don't really read much YA these days. I'm pretty much over it, but sometimes things grab me. This one is about a young transgender man continuing to figure out his gender identity.

I'm also reading Beastly Bones, another YA novel. Gosh, so much YA lately. lol. But this is book two in the series, and I'm enjoying a bit of paranormal Sherlock Holmes. :-)

Completely agree! I read this right through, often laughing out loud. I don't know how Alexis manages to convey all of this human silliness in regards to trends, jargon, and preconceptions and yet never seems mean or petty with it. It always seems right on. Delightful book.

I read Ricochet Joe by Dean Koontz. It is a short story and I have had it for ages. It is also a Kindle in Motion books so it has graphics that move. The story was ok. I dont generally read Dean Koontz but the graphics were fascinating.

I've just ordered The Shadow King by Maaza Mengiste because as Italian antifascist it is a matter of principle for me ;-).

But according to «The Guardian» it should be also a good read:

I've just read the latest panel of the webcomic O Human Star. It is incredibly good, and also the comments are deeply insightful and empatethic! Sometimes I get moved by the comic, and then again by the comments.

I love this series. I have read two so far. I have given myself a challenge to read the entire series before the end of the year. After reading each book I watch the episode on BBC Iplayer. It is a really nice reading experience.

I read Book 5 along with the audiobook Network Effect narrated by Kevin R. Free (narrator of Josh's Holmes & Moriarty series)! And it was helpful to hear this novel-length book read aloud, as I think I would have otherwise been a bit lost in during the complicated "techie" part of the climax.

Tor.com offered the first four novellas free back in April, but I missed out on two of them as freebies. Calathea and KC have also rated the novellas highly. :)

Sci-fi/space adventure with four novellas and one (#5) full length novel. Book 6 is scheduled for 2021. Not m/m, but includes rainbow characters. The protagonist is... asexual... non-sexual... anti-sexual? ;)

If you like the Murderbot series (I love it!) you might also like the Imperial Radch series by Ann Leckie, starting with Ancillary Justice. There's also a robot/ai as main character, unique look at the world and relationships and interesting linguistic features.
