What Are you Reading?
Thanks for bringing that up, Antonella. It looks like a really good book and might even be good for my booklist on food safety!
I recently read Jackaby, a YA Sherlock retelling, and it’s kind of a paranormal/fantasy/mystery, and really good! So, I think I’m good with weird Sherlock stories. Lol.

I heard about this one from Lisa Henry. Glad to hear it's nice.

I enjoyed it.

Love Nimona!
Don’t know if you’ve read these, but I highly recommend:
- Our Dining Table, a really sweet Yaoi manga with no sex where they fall in love over food and cooking lessons. There’s a cute kid brother here too.
- One Hundred Nights of Hero, a graphic novel about a lesbian couple who tell stories about strong women storytellers in order to save themselves from a nasty man. Love the strong women in this one!
- and there’s an ongoing MM graphic novel/webcomic called O Human Star that’s sci-fi and includes two older men in a science/technology field. The first two volumes are out of print unless you order direct from their website, or you can read it at ohumanstar.com. I started it awhile back, but haven’t yet gotten caught up. I need to get back into it again, but the artist is only posting once or twice a week.
I hope this helps! Happy reading!

Thank you! :-)

Recommended also from me. It's so absolutely wonderful that I bought it on paper!
It's going to be finished soon. It starts here:

The trans theme is also treated with utmost sensitivity, and in the comments too.
And I had never heard of

You can have a look at the first pages here:

Heartstopper is a lovely series. You can read it on line and it is being published. It isnt yaoi. I am a great fan.

Thank you for the links! And yes, Our Dining Table looks good.

Yes Antonella I understand :) It is very hard to put down once you start reading :)

Heartstopper is wonderful. Enjoy!
Queer graphic novels I have enjoyed recently:
--I just read Bloom and it was really nice. Lovely artwork. M/M
--Check, Please! Book 1: # Hockey is a fun and entertaining hockey story. M/M
--Gender Queer is an excellent memoir about gender identity. Really special. Slightly heavier subject matter.
--The Prince and the Dressmaker is adorable and completely delightful.
Excellent M/M webcomics that I have read:
--Novae, which is here: http://www.novaecomic.com/
It's more of a fantasy story and the artwork is absolutely gorgeous. The romance is adorable. Love it.
--Spacejinx. See here: http://misadventurecentral.com/comic/...
A fun and wacky (and occasionally NSFW) webcomic about space adventurers.
--Tripping Over You is a contemporary romance comic that's been going for years. Lovely artwork. https://www.trippingoveryou.com/
--Always Raining Here is a contemporary Canadian high school romance story. It is lovely and complete. Here: http://alwaysraininghere.com/

Awesome!!!

Enjoy!
Any more webcomic recs out there?

I didn't know O Human Star is going to be finished soon! That actually makes me happy. I will get back into it, though I'll need to start back up at the beginning again, I'm afraid. I am also thinking of buying the print books. I never got very far into it, but I liked what I read and have heard so many good things about it!

2 of the Oh Human Trades are available at Comixology.
Not M/M but F/F is Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me which was fantastic
Moonstruck, Vol. 1: Magic to Brew with lots of LGBT reps

BTW there is also Starfighter:

I started Starfighter years ago and didn't keep up with it, but I always meant to get back to it. Now's a good time!

I bought a print copy of The Prince and the Dressmaker not too long ago. That's how much I loved it. I'm going to buy Gender Queer in print, too.

Same here. The author is definitely talented, manages to convey emotions very well, so if only they could up the plot part/ratio...
:-)

I also found this: Monster and the Beast, Vol. 1 and Monster and the Beast, Vol. 2. I'm reading the second volume now.
It's...i guess, a sort of adventure where a forest demon and a human become friends. Not sure there's an actual plot as such, well, some. There's a bit of a mysteriousness going on. They're mostly cute/sweet, especially the forest demon, and I love the drawings.

I'm going to buy it after the emergency is over, because now we should avoid sending amazon workers around to deliver non-essential goods.

That's quite a collection! Cool.

Dal Mclean's Blue on Blue (slowly...savoring). She's such an amazing writer. All those little "aside" descriptions, observations, and comments are brilliant.

I finished it yesterday and I loved it so much. Before I started I was a bit scared if I could stand reading about Will and Tom not living in a HEA, but she managed to hit the right balance between emotional growth and dramatic miscommunication. And the case was both thrilling and horrifying, which I wouldn't want to read about all the time, but once in a while is exciting.

Ooooh, I finished reading this last weekend—wolfed it down hungrily. She is a brilliant writer!

That's a good advice. Even reread is recommended, I think. After reading Blue on Blue I'm now back to rereading Bitter Legacy. When I was reading Blue on Blue I wished—several times!—that I had reread the first two books before I started Blue on Blue. But after I was already reading it, it was too late! I couldn't put it down at that point! :-)

Agreed! Blue on Blue was a perfect mix of torture and comfort for a reader. Mostly torture. Sweet torture. :-D

I’ve got this one, but haven’t started it yet.
Right now I’m reading the second book in Gregory Ashe’s trilogy. And I’m super grateful that there’s a lull in the anger between North and Shaw. I’m pretty much sucked in and can’t put it down!
I’m planning to reread Elin Gregory’s Eleventh Hour next in prep for Midnight Flick, so I can then blog a review for both at work.

Eleventh Hour is fantastic. Enjoy!

I want to do that as well.
It should take less time than rereading «Bitter Legacy» and «Object of Desire» before tackling Blue on Blue ;-).
Lol, yes, I recall Eleventh Hour was a faster read than Dal Maclean’s books! And yes, it’s been a long time since I first read it, but it has a lot of elements I like, so I’m excited for it!
I’ve had a bit of a frustrating day, and ended up starting the audiobook for Bitter Pill, and I’m loving it! So many familiar faces we haven’t seen in awhile. Psycop always makes me feel better in some form or fashion. I love Vic and he’s such a good distraction. Lol.

That's exactly my plan, a re-read of the series... still taking my time with Blue on Blue. Sometimes I just don't want a story to end quickly. Luckily, that's not been the case with Dal's books even when I'm reading quickly. ;)

I’m listening to JCP’s Bitter Pill... I’m loving the past characters that are featuring here! But I didn’t expect to start crying over Jackie. Her backstory is horrifically sad, and really well handled.
Hey everyone,
I just have a quick question for you. I know a lot of you read webcomics and I was wondering if you had any recommendations. I'm doing a blog post for the library on webcomics patrons can read while they're stuck at home. The list is already a bit long and I can't include everything despite my wanting to, but I'm also looking for a wide variety of things.
Personally, I'm looking forward to reading O Human Star one of these days, and I'm not entirely sure yet what Vattu is, but I like the artwork and the beginning has me intrigued. And I'm finding a bunch of others out there that look really good too.
And since we've been a bit quiet for awhile, take this opportunity to discuss and debate webcomics! I think we're in a unique situation that makes them the perfect thing to "consume" right now, if you have internet available where you are.

They also made the film out of this incredible story («Dark Waters», with Mark Ruffalo as Bilott).
From the GR blurb: DuPont’s own scientists had issued internal warnings for years about the harmful effects of PFAS on human health, but the company continued to allow these chemicals to leach into public drinking water. Until Rob forced them to face the consequences..
«For years» means already in the Fifties, but the greedy company kept using the polluting chemicals causing cancer and several illnesses in the population till 2013!
In 2016 at least 6 millions US-Americans were drinking PFAS-contaminated drinking water that exceeded EPA recommendations. Here some information about drinking water in the US:
