Oookay, I've now read Enemies with Benefits and I must say that it was highly entertaining. :-) Also, a pretty brilliant idea to have a free prequel/prologue like this to get readers hooked and hungry for more... worked for me like charm. :-D

I know! Woohoo! I've been looking forward to hearing about Arden from the beginning. :)
I'm still gloriously lost in the woods re-reading Shirewode and its friends, so the dragons will have to wait until next week.

I thought so too :-)

Can someone tell me where to get it? I wouldn't like to be the only one to pay for it: I can't get it for free from amazon.co.uk, only at amazon.com where it costs $1.09. I don't find it on smashwords.

On Google Play it's free. They said they had problems to make it free on ama. JL Merrow had a post on fb with other places where it's free.

I got it free on Kobo.

I just found this immensely useful book just now at the library and thought I would pass it on, because, yeah, this is important stuff we never think about until it's too late: There Is No Good Card for This: What To Say and Do When Life Is Scary, Awful, and Unfair to People You Love.

It was free for me on Amazon.com, but it must depend on the country.

Also read JL Merrow's Wake Up Call, which i loved. The last few chapters meandered a bit, but overall i thought it was lovely.

LOL! I came here to say that I've just finished How to Bang a Billionaire. I loved it (4 stars), but less than For Real (5 stars).

Glad you enjoyed it!
Just started my first Dean Koontz book of the year, but also joined a GR group dedicated to his work, so I'll have more motivation to read all the books I own. :-)
I've also started his How to Write Best Selling Fiction, which came out several million decades ago, and which he swears no one should ever bother to read because it's so out-of-date, and which is now so rare it can cost up to $300 (that I've seen). So far, it's actually not bad. I'm sure the chapter on publishing and the market will not be worth anything, but so far the general tips are good. Though I think there's a chapter near the end that specifically says writers should stay far away from mystery and romance genres, according to one review I read. I just laughed. I can't wait to read that one. lol.

Thanks for the reminders to read Wake Up Call. I got it and A Gathering Storm on pre-order, but sidelined them for other reading. These are #1 and #2 from Riptide's Porthkennack books (same setting, different times).
I'm reading Julie Bozza's The Fine Point of His Soul, a gothic mystery (not a romance) with a cast that includes a particular trio of Romantic poets and some wise input from Mary Shelley.

I've seen she published this, and I usually love what she writes, but I cannot bring myself to read this kind of literary fiction with real writers and poets in it...

I enjoy this sort of story when it's well done, and of course Bozza does it quite well. My preference is to already have some background on the figures involved. I took classes in the early-mid 1970s on the Romantic English poets, memorable still. It was a time when my friends and I imagined ourselves as artists, defying the norms, and shining brightly in our youth and beauty. :) In fact, we had no inkling that the young men and women we emulated (our peers in age) had already done more, and more affected the world than any of us managed then or since.
I still hold Keats very dear to my heart. I found this story to be a lovely homage to him.
Another very great plus is that, other than the notion of members of this particular group trapped within their own gothic mystery, this is absolutely nothing like Ken Russell's Gothic. ;)

Here what Jordan Castillo Price writes:
While I don't have a release date for you yet, I am happy to tell you that PsyCop 8 is through its first round of editing, and if all goes well with the editing and with my impending move, I would love for it to hit the shelves before the end of June. Keep your eyes peeled for a cover reveal and release date very soon!

This sounds neat and I will have to check it out.
If anyone's interested in a fascinating and imaginative alternate history featuring those same Romantic poets as secondary characters, I highly recommend Tim Powers' The Stress of Her Regard. It's somewhat a paranormal Gothic horror road trip and it's fantastic and very entertaining. It's pretty out there as a story, so I felt very distanced from the real people, which I think is good thing. The timeline is true, but the reasons things are happening are very different--like Keats still dies slowly, but it sure isn't from tuberculosis. I thought this was really cool and I totally loved it.

Oh cool! I'm still waiting for the third one to come out in audio, since that's how I read the first two, I'd like to stick with that if I can.

You have a will of iron, my friend. :)
It's been a fair while and I could not have waited so patiently. I also hope the rest of the books are going to be done in audio. They work well in that format. Fingers crossed.

It helps ( think) that there are so many other books I need to read, both for myself and for my job. I have no time to even agitate over this series!

I should be finishing up The Key to Midnight tonight, and then I'll be starting the March: Book One graphic novel trilogy about John Lewis's experiences with civil rights activism for my book group.
Even in my library, it's not easy. Thankfully, we had/have still, a librarian who's been on the romance ordering committee, who also reads mm, so she ordered them when she could. Still, I wish more mm books were available through overdrive. That's what made creating my mm Guide so difficult. I couldn't just add the books I've read and enjoyed. Not only that, but these books, unless we keep reordering them, will disappear and will need to be replaced in the Guide. The way ebooks work is you either get them for a specific number of check outs or a specific amount of time, maybe a year or two, before they go away and need to be ordered again, if they're even still available. Paper books get stolen all the time, but they last longer!
I just finished book 3 of March. Wow. What a story. This would have made it all stick in my head better when I was in high school!
Hopefully this link will work for all of you. Here is my LibGuide for M/M Romance. I hope you like it!

Like Rosa said, it's really impressive. You did a really great job, Jordan!
I'm sure you'll convert a lot of readers to the world of MM romance. ;)
Also, you had me squealing like a little girl when I saw that the library you work for is the Boston Public. Such a gorgeous building with a lovely atmosphere, I fell in love with it when I visited it during my trip to Boston.
It's one of my fondest memories from that vacation, thank you for bringing me back to that afternoon. :)

Thanks guys! I'm so glad you like it!
And yes, lol, now you all know where I work. :-)
Elena, that's awesome that you were able to remember your time here! If you ever get back to Boston, check out the renovation we did over the last few years. We're a very different place now!

That's wonderful. You have such great books listed. I'll have to go back and look at the ones I haven't read yet.

Well done!
Thanks guys!
I wish I could say every book is a good one, but I haven't read most of them myself, though that was my initial idea. But I couldn't order all the books I've read, so had to compromise.

I know. She's really the classic librarian. Beneath the quiet exterior beats the heart of a superhero. :-)
