You're welcome. :)
Wow. The new Heidi Cullinan book is a food for thoughts. I couldn't stop reading it and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I think I like it even if there are things I'm not sure of. Not conventional at all but even if counting all kinds of romance/erotica genre. Like I said food for thoughts and I'd really like to chat about it. Anyone else read it already? Santa Baby

I thought it'd be the typical MMM romance erotica with 3 men banging it away but it's very much not. It's a polyamory story with a twist not common in romance stories or even erotic stories. Which is why I find it so thought provoking.
The first three were decidedly a lot fluffier in a way but this one is also. In a way. Bit hard to describe it because it's bit unconventional. I think what mostly bothered me was that it was tidied up too nicely and easily. But then again it is a Christmas story with a fluff. Or a with a twisted fluff.
It is intriguing though.
And a bit of a spoiler if that helps but it's kind of the plot so don't read it if you don't want to be spoiled ;)

I finished a funny, cute story. Creating Clark: Suzanne Brockmann Presents: A California Comedy #1 It's written by Suzanne Brockmann son, Jason T. Gaffney and co-written with his dad (Suzanne's husband). Such a talented family. They all did that movie, The Perfect Wedding. I may never have starting reading m/m if it wasn't for Suzanne's character, Jules.

Especially the first books in the series were fantastic, you really get caught in this world. Amazing world building and engaging characters!
I read all kinds of books, many of us do, so non m/m books recommendations are always welcome :)

Well, I can argue it either way. I did rewrite the original edition of both Fatal Shadows and A Dangerous Thing. If you have those first editions from GMP you know how different they are. In the case of FS I rewrote three times altogether -- mostly just adding.
In ADT Adrien's tone felt like it had changed, become too self-conscious, so I worked mostly on that -- and expanded the ending.
But having done that...I don't think I would tamper with them further. For one thing, too much time has passed and a different person would be writing the books.
And the idea of that does bother me (whether it's logical or not).
BUT from the other standpoint, Nava is now a stronger and more experienced writer, and I can see why he might want a redo for the books that he's best known for. Plenty of time has passed and there is a whole mystery-reading audience that doesn't know his work.
As for as the M/M audience--the romance reading audience--either version is going to be a difficult sell, given that the first and most moving romantic relationship ends in death. There's no real way to fix that (nor should he try--I'm not suggesting that).

I'm probably finishing this one tonight or tomorrow, so I'll weigh in then. I've read a lot of Heidi Cullinan's books. I started with the Special Delivery series, and I'll pretty much give anything she's written a try. I thought that Carry the Ocean was amazing. In general her books tend to go on too long (for my taste) and I have an attracted-yet-repelled response to the D/s passages. They're raw/real and often difficult for me to read, but are also intrinsic to her characters.
This series is lighter, in that these are "holiday" books, and there's humor in the characters' interactions and their lives in a small town that's trying to re-create itself as a Christmas festival destination, one that's particularly GLBT-friendly.
That said, it's not the polyamory I'm finding challenging in this book; it's that other big issue Dale is dealing with (view spoiler).

Yes! The world building is amazing, but I'm mad at the characters all the time XD. Especially feminine characters, in my opinion they behave like morons most of the time (u_u)

To talk about non M/M books, I just finished the original TMNT comic books! Well, I found out there's one more volume, but these are slightly different than what I just read, apparently. I'll get to them soon as I can buy them. I wish these weren't so expensive. I want new readers to explore and enjoy them as much as I've been doing!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection, Vol. 1
I've also just started reading Under the Jolly Roger: Being an Account of the Further Nautical Adventures of Jacky Faber
I've loved this historical adventure series for teens and this one seems to be just as good if the first chapter is anything to go by!

Carry the Ocean was very good. I have the Delivery series on my tbr, will get to them eventually.
Read Time Lost, which was excellent. I liked it even better than Time Waits, which was also excellent. I'm glad i read them in order because favorite characters from Time Waits play a role and the background is pretty crucial to get the full effect. Also, this one was more of a mystery, so doubly excellent!

I stumbled upon the Valiant Universe Comics and they have some great series. I have also been reading some classics which are in manga form. I read Manga Classics: Pride & Prejudice, Manga Classics: Les Misérables, Manga Classics: Emma, and Manga Classics: Great Expectations, and they were all brilliant and a good way of promoting the classics for adults and young people who may not be avid classic readers.
Right now I am reading Pansies by Alexis Hall and really enjoying it.
This is new. I finished a book and rated it from the Kindle app and when I got to Goodreads, it had been marked as read with my rating on it! I had to edit it to add the start and finish date, but it was there.By the way, The Weight of It All by N.R. Walker was very good.

Ginn Hale strikes back ;-)Read a kind of coda for an almost published (out in December) story here: http://itsaboutthebook.com/2016/11/23...
This vignette is something of a prologue for the forthcoming novella, ‘Get Lucky’ (coming out this December in the Once Upon a Time in the Weird West anthology). The story takes place in the same steampunk, weird west setting as ‘The Hollow History of Professor Perfectus’ (published in the anthology Magic and Mayhem), as well as The Long Past collection, which will be released in January 2018. -Ginn
