What Are you Reading?
Read Hollis Shilo's Sweet Scents. Loved it. Haven't read many stories about asexuals, but I thought it was well done. She's one of my favorite authors, and I read her when my world is crumbling around my ears.
I got this morning my print copy of
. It will be hard to ration it.I did manage to read in three evenings Murder Between the Pages. It was great.
And last night I skimmed more than read the first book of the trilogy Cronin's Key. Ehmm... the cover is quite decent.

Started Keira Andrews' Arctic Fire. Quiet and interesting so far.And also, Lyn Gala's Divergence (which is the third book in a trilogy i'm really enjoying).

I love Lyn Gala's the Claimings series. Haven't read her other series.

I have the first two of the series KC is reading, though, so I could read that in the meantime, if it's so good.

I thought it sounded good, but frankly my life is spinning out of control. I have buckets of books and audiobooks, but I have the attention span of a two-year old. And remember what I read? Sigh. I'm losing my mind.

Glad you're enjoying it! It always cheers me up when several of us are reading and enjoying the same book :-)

I read the first of Lyn Gala's Claimings series, and loved it, then stopped there. Maybe i'll get back to it. I just really liked it where it left them in the first book.

I've been wanting to read it since I never had to for school. I also gifted it to my dad for Christmas last year so I wanted to read it so I can talk to him about it. :-)

Not a m/m book, not even fiction, but I just finished Spaceman: An Astronaut's Unlikely Journey to Unlock the Secrets of the Universe and it is excellent! It's an autobiography, but 90% of the book is about his time as an astronaut with NASA and how he became one.The author emphasizes the teamwork and perseverance that goes into making a successful spaceflight--and into making a successful life. It had some good humor and many moments that were very thoughtful and touching. He also mentions a bit about how he came to be in several episodes of one of my favorite TV shows, The Big Bang Theory.
I plan to give this book to at least two of my friends for Christmas.

I was one of those kids who dreamed of becoming an astronaut, and I devoured books about space and NASA.

This charming juvenile picture book is fabulous. I highly recommend it. When I'm stressed and overwhelmed and feel like my life's spinning out of control, I read books written for children. They usually pull me back from the ledge. :-)

Yay! Thanks for letting us know, Ame. I definitely want this, but omg my Christmas reading list is getting longer and longer. Though this seems like a very first world problem.

Bought this yesterday. As with any anthology, I like some stories more than others. Cops and Comix by Rhys Ford and For Dear Life by Mary Calmes are highly recommended.

Got these from the lovely Megan Derr. Finder Tolan is a lovely low-heat adventure, complete with mages, castles, and mad relatives. Wriggle & Sparkle (the complete collection) is a hoot! Who'd have thought a kraken and a unicorn would be compatible.
Both books are excellent and highly recommended.

Mysteries:
Murder Between the Pages! :-) which is exactly the kind of mystery i enjoy most, so yay! I love that kind of detecting atmosphere, and the puzzle, and the quirky characters - it's all so very exciting. And i really liked Malone as comic relief.
I also discovered some fluffy mysteries by Declan Sands, which, awful covers aside, are quite good; fun and relaxing. The first one is: A Hoale Lot of Trouble.
Romance:
S.c. Wynne's The Cowboy and the Pencil-Pusher - which i thought was going to be light and fun, and it was, but it also has this serious side to it that makes one ponder and think about the book long after finishing reading. I really like how some of the serious stuff comes across in an unassuming way, so the impact, when one realizes certain things, is that much stronger.
Alexis Hall's Pansies: so very wonderfully beautiful; got me all teary, pretty much throughout, and yet it had these really funny moments too, and it's so hopeful, and just...wow. Beautiful writing too.
And Kim Fielding's The Downs which was interesting and imaginative.
