Yes, I've got a paperback copy. It's still pubbed by Amber Quill.

It was very good. Just finished it. And I do recommend it!

Dev Bentham | 1012 comments Hi guys, Antonella told me you were talking about Nobody's Home. I'm really flattered. I got the rights back from Amber Allure and I've done something of a rewrite of the beginning chapters (mostly responding to some suggestions from a vet that I got some of the puppy birthing details wrong). I'm waiting on my copy editor right now and I'm not sure how long that will take (life, you know?). But I'll have it back out and on the market as an ebook sometime in the next couple of months.

Thanks for your interest!

I watched a lot of puppy birth videos on YouTube and STILL missed some things. Let me know if you ever want to know how to do a dog c-section. I'm your girl.

This is great!

I've finally read the copy you signed for me! :-D And nope, I didn't notice anything missing about the puppy births, but then, I'm not a vet either. :-P

I really enjoyed it and I'm so glad it's being rereleased as an ebook for others!

Meanwhile, I just started Red Dirt Heart 3 last night. But wasn't feeling well so I didn't even finish the first chapter before I crashed. Hopefully I'll get to read more later. I added this series to my "end series" challenge for the year, so I'm planning to finish both 3 and 4 soon. :-)

I dunno, but I had bought all four books before we did the BOM, so my goal is to read at least the four I have. I'm enjoying them, but not sure I'll continue the series if there are more books. At least not right away anyway. Must curb the book buying!

That said, I finally purchased a copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two the other day. Hopefully I'll have time to read it before January! lol.

I've been stuck at 25% of this book (book #3) for a few months now. :-) I read the first two in a row when we were having the first one as a BOM, but then... stuck. Full stop.

I'm hopeful that I'll continue some day, though. Maybe you can give me a boost, when you've finished it, Jordan! :-D

Well, I don't know if this helps. But I'm reading it as mostly complete fluff. I mean, there's tough stuff in there, but it's not like the others. And the two MCs are stuck together like glue by now. We don't have to worry about the main relationship. It's kinda like Vic and Jacob from Psycop, in that respect. So, yeah, a bit of a fluffy story.

Most of the tough stuff gets handled a little too easily, I think. And there is a bit of 'teen angst' worry over the main couple in the second half.

Otherwise, it was a good, relaxing read.

And now I'm on to Red Dirt Heart 4.

Yay! Just read your review and it convinced me to give it another try. The first try was perhaps unfair to the book because i was deep into Amy Rae Durreson's backlist and that's so completely different. And i wasn't sure about all the gaming terms and got impatient. Anyway, will try this again :-)

I decided I didn't need to know the *exact* meaning of all the gaming terms (I was being lazy I think) and just went with it and it made sense and it all made more sense as I read and got more used to the language. The glossary is at the back and it's very detailed. :)

As for reading, I finished the audiobook of Dirty Heart (good listen) and am listening to Tournament of Losers (so far, so good). I gotten through a lot more audiobooks this summer since lately I have been listening to them while playing a tablet puzzle game before going to bed.

I've heard lots of good things about [book:Tournament of Losers
. I haven't read much Megan Derr, which is a little odd, given how much I love fantasy. I have slightly mixed feelings about Less Than Three Press and I'm always a little bit hesitant with their books.

Looks like GR is doing its magic invisible formatting thing again. :)

Phoebe | 18 comments I also have Magic & Mayhem: Fiction and Essays Celebrating LGBTQA Romance waiting on my kindle to read, but for September I am doing a reread of one of my favorites A Discovery of Witches and am using the The ALL SOULS Real-time Reading Companion as I go along. And embarrassingly enough as much of a LOTR fan that I am, I have not read The Hobbit so that is my train book. It definitely has a slightly different feel to the trilogy. Gandalf seems a bit goofy so far and overall it has a much lighter feel.

LT3 has a some of my fave fantasy reads. They've also expanded to have more ace, bi, trans fantasy as well. Pretty cool!

A few of my faves

Dance with the Devil and Dance in the Dark. (Especially the latter.)

Dragon Slayer <- great "marriage of convenience" fantasy

Safe Passage - Not fantasy, but cute contemporary lesbian novella

Sorry if I was giving the wrong impression, but I have read some really awesome things from LT3 and they've published some of my favourites, too. And I do love the huge efforts they've been making in publishing more diverse and inclusive books. They're really pushing for broader queer representation in their books and it's so awesome and I love it. I wish more publishers were as pro-active in that area as LT3. :)

Hmmmm...hard to say. I read them in order, and even though the MCs are different, characters from Dance with the Devil do show up in the second book, Dance in the Dark, and I had more connection to them, so I would personally recommend reading in order.

One option, and this might be more US-based of a solution, is to ask your library to request both books. Both are available in Overdrive, the system that many libraries use for ebooks. Our library purchased these two books and many others from LT3. That's one possible way to enjoy them. :-)

On my iPad (using the Kindle app) the table of contents doesn't show up as one of the pages, but is available via the pop-out sidebar that includes these links: Library, About This Book, Cover, Beginning, Location, Sync, Flashcards, Before You Go, and finally Table of Contents with links to each article/story.
