Did that earlier. Got eight out of ten, (view spoiler) I had to grin at the inclusion of a "sat" question.

I must confess that a couple were lucky guesses!

Ouch. I hope you've had all of your jabs."
Oh yes, and I got the Hilary one because Hilary is traditionally the male spelling (at least in the USA)and sod the comma nonsense :-)

it's been a long time since i was at school and never really was that great at english language (despite the lucky B at o'level!)

I was sat there laughing at that one.

Guess I can keep teaching."
- and proof reading. I got the that/which question wrong

No, BJ."
Actually I'm with BJ here
'I was sitting in the chair' and 'I was sat in the chair' are two different things.
I was sitting in the chair implies that sitting in the chair was my decision.
I was sat in the chair implies that someone else decided on my course of action. If the teacher tells me to sit in a particular chair, and then afterwards my mother asks, "why were you sitting there" answering "I was sitting in the chair" is not an answer.
"I was sat in the chair" is
:-)

I'm sitting on the fence with this one.

That is a great way to look at it. I'm going to apply this logic to every test I ever undertake for the rest of my life.

You're like Grammar Power Rangers.

You're like Grammar Power Rangers."
I like it ;-) Now where did I put that suit?

Give it a go. Me good at english and me got ate.

Hilary is proving to be a rather troublesome character.

you don't need grammar,Hilary is supposed to be the 'male' spelling, at least in the US :-)

Or Pat. Pat is a good'un.

Or Pat. Pat is a good'un."
I knew a Pat who was married to Pat. They had children who weren't called Pat
