Ashleigh (plathheart84) so I read this book last year and I still cannot get it out of my head. Can someone help me out and suggest something that might fill the hole this book left in me? I would seriously appreciate it. And those of you who haven't read it add it to your lists!

Chris Berko | 3 comments Try Little Star by the same author, it is terrifying.

Ashleigh (plathheart84) oh thanks! I will do. :)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Oh, I thought you wanted more vampire suggestions. The Little Stranger and When Darkness Loves Us are two books I have never stopped thinking about. Very atmospheric and unique. Try them.

And Little Star is a great book.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments You're welcome, Ashleigh. Hope you get around to them one day. I read The Ruins and We Have Always Lived in the Castle years ago and still think of them quite often.

Ashleigh (plathheart84) I will check those out too! its great when a book stays with you like that but then comes finding something to fill its boots so to speak.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I know. I want my mind to be blown over the book I'm reading, so to speak, and don't like to read mainstream, mundane horror or other genres. Check out my horror shelf and limit to 5 star books and you may get some more suggestions.

Ashleigh (plathheart84) Yeah that's always the problem I encounter with horror and crime novels in particular, there is such a vast amount and too many of them just don't live up to my expectations so I tend to read those genres less than others. I will definitely have a browse through your shelf thanks!
