These all seem to be a stretch, but they came up in an intial search. Is there anything else you can remember about the plot?

Andrea has been reunited with her long-lost father by chance, and joins him at his chateau by the Alps. But someone is stalking Andrea, someone who thinks nothing of killing the chateau's inhabitants one by one. Someone who has a reason to want Andrea out of her father's life - permanently.

Annie Colwater's only child has just left home for school abroad. On that same day, her husband of twenty years confesses that he's in love with a younger woman. Alone in the house that is no longer a home, Annie comes to the painful realization that foryears she has been slowly disappearing. Lonely and afraid, she retreats to Mystic, the small Washington town where she grew up, hoping that there she can reclaim the woman she once was--the woman she is now desperate to become again.
And for our last act:

It's called Lost Lake!
It basically has 2 stories to it, that's why I was confused. Wasn't much of a reader then, just picked it up cuz it looked interesting. It's a great book, will read it again!!!

Anyhow. It's about this boy who falls in love with this girl who lives in a large house, on a cliff overlooking the beach. Her father is in some kind of military, and he recruits the boy to do the dirty work for him. He takes the boy to some illegal karate tournament and the boy kicks ass. Then I think he grows up and lives behind a house with a lady and her kid. And something happens at the kid's baseball game when the man loses it. (Again, I hope I'm not mixing up 2 different stories.)
I don't think this book was written by a famous author.
