At my apartment complex we have a small library. Someone donates their Condensed Reader's Digest books. Occasionally we clear the oldest ones out and take them to the Salvation Army donation center. I think that and other such thrift organizations are probably your best bet.Live in Michigan?
My dad and I were talking recently about what he could do with the ones my mom had gotten over the years. They're all pretty old, 60's, 70's and 80's, and I don't think there are many with orange or yellow covers. Mostly reds and browns with some greens and beige. If you want me to check into them more, I'd be glad to.

I'll try out other thrift shops. The ones that I talked to just 'throw them away.'

Thanks for offering to check, but I think that I'll try thrift shops again first. :)

No, I just did a google yesterday for Emily, and came across them. I have heard of something similar before. Getting 6 feet of bright blue books delivered to my door does sound ridiculously appealing for some reason.

It would have been great for the rainbow challenge :)

I was thinking along the lines of a yard of mysteries!

It seems that my local used book and thrift stores don't take them because 'no one wants them.' However, they seem to sell online at a premium. Weird.
