T.B. Johnson (productionblues) Hey all! Nothing too wild here, I'm just another new author looking to get some reviews up on this site. If you like dark academia and lubricious horror, this novella might be for you. 😉

Sinner’s Descent: into the Depths of the Unreal

It's free with Kindle Unlimited but if you don’t have that reach out to me and I'll see if I can't get you a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. 🤗

Also looking forward to finding some cool hidden gems through this group!

Matthew Devitt | 3 comments Hi everyone,

I'm Matt, the author of Conquest. I've always had a love for fantasy, and to this day LOTR and The Inheritance Cycle remain some of my favorite books. There are limitless possibilities when you're writing, but with fantasy, it's different. You don't have to adhere to rules or logic; you can create whatever type of world you want. Characters can live in a dystopian society, a grand futuristic city, a picture-perfect world, or a medieval wasteland. Time, technology, and magic are all there for the taking, and as a writer, you get to choose what defines your story.

I’m Mano Sotelo, an artist and author from Arizona. My graphic novel, The War in Heaven, is a black-and-white illustrated story that explores the human condition and the struggle between darkness and light — a psychological journey of two brothers: one drawn to indulgence and control, the other seeking peace, amid both internal and external conflict.

Hi Lena, I came across your profile on BookSirens and was very impressed! I admire readers who support indie authors. As an avid reader myself (and occasional beta reader) as well as a hybrid author, I know how valuable that support is. Which platform are you most active on these days?

I’ve built a Facebook page with over 20K followers, though organic reach has been shrinking. To diversify, I recently started a Substack and a YouTube channel. I’d love to compare notes on what’s working for you in this fast‑changing landscape.

message 1560: by Richard A. Hoppe (new)

Richard A. Hoppe | 1 comments Hello everyone — I’m Rick Hoppe.

I’m an author, a veteran, and a lifelong student of how societies rise, break, and heal. My nonfiction book, Eight Stages: A Primer on Modern Revolution, is currently in pre-publication, and I will share an ARC for comment and critique when the editor passes it.

My latest fictional project, A Psalm for the Damned, began as a challenge to myself: could I tell the emotional sweep of a novel inside the tight frame of a short story?

Then it grew.

It turned into...something. 8 short stories, all in a single arc, covering 90 years. It's not a novella, it's not a novel, it's...something else. It's hard to characterize.

The result surprised me. It’s dark, atmospheric, and haunted by a faint line of hope—very much a story about people wrestling with loss, guilt, and redemption they can still reach for.

I’m here on Goodreads to connect with other writers, learn from the craft you all practice, and share work when it’s helpful. I’d be glad to trade thoughts, critique, process, or just talk books.

Looking forward to meeting you all and discovering what you’re writing.

— Rick

Cornelius Moon (corneliusjmoon) | 4 comments Hi folks! Old gamedevs never die, they just go indie. While doing world building for an ambitious video game, I ended up going a bit farther than anticipated and... ended up with enough foundational lore to create a book. So I did. It's all short stories that form a narrative arc from many human perspectives. Think short format Black Mirror / Truman Show / Westworld dystopia.

Would love to offer a few of you ARCs in exchange for feedback/reviews. And check out some of your work, as well!

message 1564: by Dahlia (new)

Dahlia Hart | 3 comments Hi, I’m Dahlia.

I write small town contemporary romance with big feelings, slow-burn tension, and low on-page spice. My stories lean into emotional arcs, messy-but-trying-their-best characters, and that “cozy but still hits you in the chest” vibe.

I just released my first book and I’m actively looking for open, honest reviews so I can keep getting better as an author. As a reader, I bounce between romance, sci-fi, leadership books, and horror, so my brain is a mix of feelings, space, strategy, and nightmare fuel at all times.

I’m here to connect with other authors and reviewers, talk craft, swap recs, and learn. If you’re into character-driven stories and happily ever afters that feel earned, I’d love to get to know you.

Keith Williams | 1 comments Love in the Shadows: A Second Chance Love Story Caught in the Crossfire

I’d love to invite you to discover my latest novel, Love in the Shadows, published just four weeks ago. You may also enjoy my debut, Beyond the Picture, which follows characters and events across New York and Connecticut. If you’re able to read either (or both!), it would mean a great deal to me if you could leave a short review—as you know, readers’ feedback is incredibly important in helping books reach a wider audience.

Ren Void | 1 comments Hi everyone.

I'm Ren Void — author of "The End of Me: For Those Who Seek but Never Find."

35 years searching. Every spiritual path, every philosophy, every promise of awakening. Still felt like a stranger in a world that was never mine.

So I stopped searching and wrote what I actually saw.

Not self-help. Not comfort. Just recognition — for those who tried everything and still woke up empty.

Free on Amazon Dec 5-9. If it resonates, a review would mean a lot.
