Elena Perella | 5 comments Hi everyone,

I am Elena and I am new to the group. I am the author of a memoir titled "Mirror" that is about my personal experience on domestic abuse.

I wrote it as a testament to the fact that it’s not our fault if we find ourselves in such relationships, and that we can break free if we understand the underlying reasons. Abuse can end with us if we have the courage to confront it, preventing our children from enduring the same experiences. Parents who had difficult childhoods, whether they are aware of it or not, predispose their children to trauma. We must be honest with ourselves and explore our inner world to heal before deciding to start a family.

If you are interested, let me know it and I will send you a copy for a review.

I'd really appreciate your support!

Liam Pierce | 4 comments Hi, I'm a debut author looking for ARC readers. My novel debuts next month. Message me and I'll send you a copy of the book.

Quick synopsis: a down-on-his-luck salesman thinks he's figured out a system to beat the house at blackjack. Despite his friends’ warnings, Marlowe travels to Las Vegas to take as much from the casinos as he can before their security teams figure out his strategy.

In Vegas, Marlowe meets Matthew Loong, a shadowy figure from Macao. Loong offers Marlowe the opportunity to 10x his money by extending him a significant line of credit through the Loong family’s junket business.

After Marlowe arrives in Macao, and the unspoken conditions of Loong’s loan become clear, the question is no longer how much Shawn will win: the question is will he survive?

Stephen Bonniol | 6 comments Hi Jackie. I'm Steve Bonniol and I almost died four years ago. I was found unconscious after 36 hours and had a body temperature of 74! They gave me only a 1% chance of survival and I woke up as they were unplugging me from life support. Since then my creativity has been in overdrive and I have a total of six books including my first children's book!

Fierce | 2 comments Hihi!!
I'm Fierce and I'm new to the writing world! I'm an autistic teen so my apologies if I get emotional.

I've been writing for fun since 4th grade and only recently (2 years or so ago) started taking it seriously

My projects include my

Comics; Gillin, The lab; an Alien's story, Avian's Grace and The New Disaster.

Books; The Rose Dragon and Unyielding Barriers

I also make cosplays! My favorite one I've made so far is an Insane Clown Posse inspired deer mask.

I have 2 cats and I'm getting a ball python (snake) soon!
He'll be kept in basement so the cats don't kill him lol.

I do a lot of art and I plan to do most of my own book covers :D

message 1462: by Kenneth (new)

Kenneth | 1 comments Hello! We are Kenneth and Judy Nichols Fecteau, coauthors of a YA/New Adult book series titled "Following Forever." The series is an action packed, young adult/new adult fantasy series that follows the present and past lives of the four teen members of the rock band, The Mols.
In book one of the series, "There’s No Such Thing as Never in Forever," the four friends are adopted into The Mistook Native American Tribe. Under the guidance of Rosethorn, Shaman of the tribe, they go on a vision quest during which they must navigate their way through time to retrieve an ancient talisman, lost centuries ago by the tribe.
In newly released book two, "The Last Streamers of Confetti on New Year's Eve," the teens realize that their vision quest is not over. Mandy and Lizzy are assigned to write a newspaper article about the Manchester Castle Hotel's upcoming one hundredth anniversary celebration set for New Year’s Day. They are aware of the hotel’s reputation for paranormal occurrences. It isn’t until their first night’s stay that they have “dreams” that lead them to believe that they are actually experiencing past lives in 1928 New Orleans. As they merge into their past-life incarnations, they find themselves crawling across rooftops by night, as gang-fighting vigilantes, and writing for the New Orleans Nitpicker newspaper by day. Along with their friends, they make a plan to rid the French Quarter of the gang that is bringing violence, death and destruction to the city. When the plans are set into action, danger and death become reality. It is only when the last streamers of confetti fall on New Year’s Eve, that present and past life relationships merge.
We would love to make new friends in the group and link with book reviewers.

Looking forward to connecting with you :)

message 1469: by Joke (new)

Joke (jokeortiz) | 11 comments My Writing Journey: From Childhood Dreams to Hellebore Manor

Hello, my name is Joke Ortiz, and I am a writer. I craft stories in the genres of horror, indie horror, mystery, thriller, and dark fantasy. Writing has always been my passion, ever since I was a child. Back then, I would create my own stories and even make little storybooks. Although many details have faded from memory, one thing remains clear: I felt a bright fire in my heart and carried a dream I desperately wished to come true—to become a writer.

In my pre-teen years, I began sharing my stories on Wattpad, a platform that was hugely popular for aspiring writers. In just one year, I wrote eight stories. I poured my heart into every word, spending countless hours in front of my computer, driven by the desire to finish each tale. But things didn’t go as I hoped. My work faced harsh criticism, with some people even telling me to stop writing altogether. Heartbroken, I deleted my account, my works, and the Wattpad app, vowing never to write again.

Yet, despite my despair, something deep inside me refused to give up.

As I grew older, my days became busier, but my love for storytelling never faded. I kept writing, determined to bring my ideas to life. After years of perseverance, I published my first book, Hellebore Manor, on Amazon on November 30 of last year. It was a small but deeply meaningful achievement, and I celebrated quietly by myself.

However, that was only the beginning.

Since then, I’ve worked tirelessly to market my book. I’ve tried email campaigns, social media posts, advertisements—everything I could learn from the advice of experts. But sales have been slow, and my efforts have often felt like they’re falling short. I’ve spent more money than I’ve earned, all in the hope of getting my book noticed.

Looking back on my writing journey, I feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, I’m proud of the little child who dreamed big and refused to give up. On the other, I feel disappointed—like I’ve let them down because my dream still feels so far away. Sometimes I wake up wondering if my dream will remain just that—a dream.

I know this isn’t the typical success story, but it’s my story. I’m not here to advertise, beg for attention, or push my book. I just wanted to share my journey—the good, the bad, and the frustrating—and maybe find a bit of advice or encouragement along the way.

My Questions to You:

1) What are your strategies for getting book sales?
2) Which platforms do you use to sell your books?
3) If you’re comfortable, would you mind sharing your writing journey with me?
If you’ve read this far, thank you. If you’re curious about my work, I’d be happy to share a free eBook or PDF of Hellebore Manor for review. Contact me in:jokeortiz5@gmail.com

If you’re interested in supporting me, the link to purchase the book, here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPG8MTV7

Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey. I hope you have a pleasant day.

Joke Ortiz

Kristin Wolf (kristinwolfauthor) | 3 comments Hi! My name is Kristin Wolf. I'm a romance author who has published four Regency romances. I'm pivoting over to publishing contemporary romances, mainly because I have contemporary ideas right now. That doesn't mean I won't return to Regency at any given time, but I don't want to box myself into any particular subgenre without being able to explore others.

I'm currently working to find reviewers for my fifth novel/first contemporary romance, which is why I'm here (will post about it separately).

Apart from writing, I'm a married mother of two children and spend my days shuttling my kids to and from places, finding time to write in between.

message 1486: by isobel (new)

isobel | 1 comments Hello! name is Isobel, I live in Toronto and am currently writing my first book.

It is a memoire. Below is a generated synopsis of what I’m trying to write, I’m looking for an alpha/beta reader please let me know if you would be interested.

I was raised by a father who could be both my protector and my worst enemy, a man whose love came with conditions, manipulation, and control. My mother, lost in her addiction, was more of a ghost than a parent. By the time I was taken by Children’s Aid, I had already learned that love was something unstable, something that could disappear when you needed it most.

But I also found family in unexpected places. In my best friend Evelyn’s home, I felt warmth, laughter, and the kind of love that didn’t have to be earned. And then, when I met my first love, I thought I had finally found the person who would love me for all that I was, who would choose me, fully and unconditionally.

For a while, I believed in that love. I became part of his family, shared in their holidays, and let myself dream of a future where love was simple. But love, as I knew it, had never been simple. The betrayal came like a knife to the chest, shattering the only real trust I had ever given. In the aftermath, I spiraled into a darkness I wasn’t sure I’d survive.

But I did survive.

Moving away, starting over, learning to exist on my own—I rebuilt myself from the wreckage of my past. This is the story of breaking, of losing myself in love, and of finding my way back. It’s about the wounds we carry, the love we deserve, and the painful, necessary process of learning that survival is not the same as living.

Aurelio Bumaga | 1 comments Hi everyone,

My name is Aurelio Bumaga. I write short, practical books on topics that fascinate me: personal finance, natural wellness, and the human side of artificial intelligence.

But before I was ever a writer, I was (and still am) a reader — and like many of you, I started writing because I felt the need to put some order into the thoughts and questions that books had left in me.
Writing, for me, is a way to reflect out loud — to try and make sense of what I’ve read, lived, or simply wondered about.
It’s never been about teaching anything. If anything, it’s about sharing the journey while I’m still learning.

I love concise, thought-provoking nonfiction. The kind of book that you can read in one sitting but that lingers in your mind for days. I also admire novels that say more in a few well-chosen lines than others do in hundreds of pages.

Looking forward to discovering new voices and ideas here — and if I can offer something of value in return, all the better.

~ Aurelio

REAPER follows a Texas Ranger special operations team as they uncover a cartel-backed terrorist plot unfolding on American soil. Think Jack Carr meets Sicario — layered with real-world law enforcement and military experience. It’s fast-paced, grounded in authentic tactics, and built for readers who like their thrillers razor-sharp and unflinching.

I’d love to connect with anyone interested in the genre. Happy to share ARCs or just chat thrillers and tactics. Feel free to reply or message me directly.
