Parag (para3g) Hello,

Thanks for letting me into this lovely community!

my name is Parag. I stay in India and write short reads from Indian Mythology and also travelogues.

In my reading, I'm exploring new genres to expand my horizons (being an ex software person, I feel like I have grossly limited my reading scope due to work pressure and deadlines).

At the moment, I'm writing short stories from The Mahabharata and reading an early 20th-century classic: "Parnassus on Wheels."

Warm Regards

Joanne Johnston | 2 comments Good morning Authors and Reviewers! Joanne here looking for some honest reviews on my first publication "Loving Lies" (Link on my Goodreads Author page).

Loving Lies is a suspense/thriller fiction. I must warn you that there are graphic scenes of heavy violence, drug use, and child abuse. If that might be triggering, please feel free to move on w/o leaving a review.

Thank you all in advance!

Erik Swanson (eas94) | 9 comments Hello to all,

I’m a new author, who’s published four books in e-book, paperback, and hardcover format through Amazon Kindle Direct within the past year. They’re available to read for free in Kindle Unlimited. The first is “Tales Of Alandria Bridging Of Worlds” the first installment of a new sci-fi, fantasy, and adventure series. The second installment “Tales Of Alandria Descent Of Knights” is being written during my free time. The other three “Lost Case Encounters” and “Corrections Mayhem” along with “Among Altin” are sci-fi, horror stories. Each one of those varies in length, even more so the first of those three being a collection of sci-fi, horror shorts. Everyone of these pieces have been written within the past two and a half years during my free time with working two jobs as a machinist and retail associate. These are also available in e-book format through Barnes & Noble, Kobo. I’d greatly appreciate it if some of you could take the time to read them, leave a review, and make notes. The book “Corrections Mayhem” will be having a free e-book giveaway this coming week from Tuesday, January 11th until midnight on Saturday, January 15th. Hope you enjoy them, and thank you.

Timothy Andrew Mitchell | 26 comments Hey, all. New guy here. I guess this is where I'm supposed to be. One never knows for sure. Anyway. First-time author with a story to tell, so here's the rub. Next week, to coincide with my fortfiftyish birthday, I’ll be running a free Kindle/eBook promotion on Amazon for the first book in my Amalrok series. While reviews of all kinds are greatly appreciated, please don’t feel obligated in any way. Just enjoy the book. Stay tuned to the Giveaways folder for details. Thanks!

A rather ambitious prequel to mankind on Earth, this epic series takes place on Mars long, long ago. Led by a stern priest, a motley company of adventurers take up a quest to save the world in the last days of the doomed planet. Fans of classic sword-and-sorcery fantasy will find the setting familiar, while the rich characters and engaging storylines will keep even the casual reader hooked and turning pages. Or so I’ve been told. By friends. So, I guess we’ll see. Anyway. Enjoy.

Tim

Alex Vogel (alex_vogel) | 1 comments Hi everyone,

I'm Alex, the author of 'Four Darks', a gay-themed contemporary/literary (and explicit) coming-of-age novel.
The Paperback edition is out now. The ebook is available for free via Kindle Unlimited. Reviews on Amazon and Goodreads very welcome.

Four Darks by Alex Vogel Four Darks

A cruel father, a twisted affair with an older man, and a mysteriously missing mother send sixteen-year-old Jack on a fateful journey exploring obsession, the will to survive and the desperate wish to belong.

On his birthday, in an effort to escape his sadistic father, Jack wanders frozen London—and encounters an intriguing stranger. The man feels like the perfect present, a glimmer of hope at just the right time. But as he falls for the much older James, a toxic game of courtship and rejection plunges Jack down an unsettling path...

"Captivating, Powerful, Emotional, and Beautiful."
Amazon Review

"The story is gripping, disturbing, and heartbreaking and at the same time it leaves the reader inspired by Jack’s perseverance. The book evokes a tremendous amount of emotion and deals with some weighty topics but left me with a sense of utter hopefulness. The characters are diverse, compelling, flawed and utterly human. The author leads us on an experience that delves into abuse, longing, desperation, cruelty, identity, and fate. And he does so with humor, a touch of sexiness, and compassion."

Meanwhile, Seth’s son, Rohan, meets the enchanting Eli in London and the mysterious Mr. Maduro in the British Virgin Islands, who introduce him to the business of money laundering in its newest form.
With the advent of crypto-currency and blockchain technology it has become a herculean task for the authorities to trace, gather evidence and institute legal proceedings against the culprits.
Bisht, his trusted deputy, Ajit Pandey, and rookie lawyer Saket Sharma are hot on the Seths’ trail. It’s almost impossible to track the elusive crypto-currency … and the Seths, who are always a step ahead. Or are they …?

Colin (colin_fleming) | 1 comments Hi, I am Colin, a first-time Graphic Novelist of a modern-day, highly Erotic, adults-only superhero book based on newly rediscovered ancient Egyptian Mythology. The explicit scenes are presented in a more situational/humorous/satirical light, by being incidental and unintentional. yet somehow unavoidable.

I hope that I achieved something like that, but that's for the readers and reviewers to decide, should they feel comfortable and entertained with this type of content.

So please check it out in Easton, Mass at the time to be announced. Then catch it off of YouTube from the Easton Community Access Television and Topic Time website. Boshra Rasti | 1 comments Hi, I am Boshra and author of two dystopian novels. I would love to connect with fellow dystopian genre fans. I am a big fan of cool twists and turns, and I enjoy cooking up red-herrings in my novels.

My favorite internal genre is morality (the big philosophical question that sometimes have no answers).

I like to have my brain-blown, and dystopia does a good job of that for me.

My work in progress (WIP) is Pick Your Scar, a dystopian novel that uses the internal morality genre.

If you'd like to join my ARC team, I'd be super chuffed.

Ray Petrolino (raypetrolino) | 4 comments Howdy y'all (that's my pretend North Carolina accent),

I live in Cary, NC, USA with my wife and family and my dog Jake (not just any dog, but a talking bichon with an unfulfilled set of demands).

When I'm not writing MG fantasy novels (well, really just one so far: A Leap into Darkness: A MG Fantasy Adventure), I'm listening to my dog (and sometimes my wife); or I can be found working on film sets, playing drums at my house, or playing drums at someone else's house.

Truth be told, I was totally terrified of Goodreads, as I'm new to it and unfortunately was subjected to conspiracy theories first about it (e.g., "authors barely tolerated" :-)) and the truth later. As I've started to wade in, though, it looks like it's made up of a great (large) group of people who just genuinely love reading (and sometimes, writing).

It's such a relief to find such a welcoming group like yours...thank you for letting me join and participate!

I love to dance and I'm a Zumbaholic.

Under the name B. G. Austin I write Dystopian. I am working on a new series named Garbage. The title does not come from the writing, Ha! I've been writing for a long time and, also, publish under B. I'm happy to have joined the group.

My previous two are published on Amazon and Lulu, although I'm having a problem with the eBook of Japan Unexpected at the moment and it's not showing on Amazon, but the All Aboard! one is there and the print version is on both.
Happy reading! Where have you traveled to yourself? 😊

But not South America or Africa - apart from a bit of Tunisia in the north, which is more like the Middle East.
My books are all available in print form too, but Smiles and Spices not quite yet - but it will be very soon: certainly by the end of November 😊 They are on both Amazon and Lulu.com.
