Authors & Reviewers discussion

I’m Alexa! I started my self pub journey in 2016 and have since self published 8 novels, 1 novella and 1 with a traditional publisher. I’m still sticking with self pub though :) I’m a big control freak, what can I say 😂
I’ve been quiet on GR for the last year or so as I set insane writing goals for myself, but I’m hoping to get back into the fold this year!
Cheers to everyone :)

Story that made considerable news involving a man who lost his Labrador Retriever in a bitter custody battle only to mount a campaign to be reunited some three years later and tens of thousands spent. The story takes the reader through his self-discovery finding what matters most and self awakening.

I am really excited to join you here in the Authors & Reviewers group.
I have been a keen reader of Sci-Fi and Fantasy from an early age (some 40 years ago now). It may be impossible for me to list out all the books I have ever read on my GoodReads profile.
Recently my relationship to fantasy and Sci-Fi has taken a new direction. I am writing a Bronze Punk hard fantasy & hard sci-fi crossover epic called Borderlands.
Borderlands is a work-in-progress. I currently have close to 200k words written in total. However, this is spread out over many diverse books in varying states of completion.
Currently, I am concentrating on completing book one in the series. It is subdivided into 9 Episodes which are semi-independant novellas of about 30k words each. Both Episodes 0 & 1 are fully written and I am releasing them in instalments here on GoodReads in the creative writing community section of GoodReads over the coming weeks. You can read the latest instalment here I would be thrilled to hear any thoughts or comments you might have.
To avoid missing any future instalments and learn more about the background of this project join my weekly newsletter. Quick subscribers can still benefit from additional free material from each Episode. However, I can't keep this offer open indefinitely, so
don't delay, subscribe today!
happy reading,
Charles Gull
Thank you!

My name is John. I am an aspiring indie novelist, looking forward to the release of my first fantasy-fiction novel. I've attached a link to my blog, where I've chronicled some of my observations and learning as an indie author - in addition to all of the preparation it takes to plan a book launch.
https://jwgolan.blogspot.com/
I have previously published as a traditional, non-fiction author (having published a history text, in hardcover), but have turned towards the indie scene as being more amenable for an unknown writer interested in publishing fiction.
Glad to be a part of the larger indie author community.

For the next 3 days starting on Friday 18th Jan to Sunday 20th January, my new children's picture book, "Jordan and the Dancing hippo" will be free on Amazon Kindle. It is a beautifully illustrated book about daring to dream big, and learning to be patient. The story told in rhyme is fun to read aloud, and improves reading skills.
You can find the book at https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07LGM8HJS
Will really appreciate a review after you have read the book. Thanks in advance!

My name is Groovy. I'm an author and avid reader. I'm also a tennis fanatic and addicted to bottled tea. My most favorite books to read are Dr. Seuss and children's books, but I write in the genre of suspense/thriller/romance, go figure:) Thank-you!

It goes without saying that almost no one sends letters through the mail anymore. That's unfortunate because opening the mailbox to find a letter waiting for you among all of the junk mail is a real thrill!
Fiction Letters was created to bring back the thrill of getting physical letters in the mail through great serialized fiction sent as letters.
We have several series of letters available. Each series contains 8 letters that are from an old "friend." As these letters arrive in your mailbox (1 per week over 2 months), your friend tells you an amazing story filled with action, suspense and mystery!
I'd love for you to check out Fiction Letters at www.FictionLetters.com
Thanks!
Eric

Anyway, I’m really glad I found this group!

Hi, Jemma. I write for children. Let me know if you would like to review any of my books. You can send me a PM if you are interested. Thanks.

Are you a science-fiction lover? As far as I am concerned there is nothing that can touch this genre (but I am biased).
I published a science-fiction novel on Amazon last year. It's called "Of Days Gone By". This is not a short story. The main character is an incredibly strong young woman - someone who makes a difference, but pays a price for it.
I really did not do any marketing effort on this book, just posted it to see what the uptake would be. Although I sold a good number of copies, I received no reviews. I believe this did not help in sustaining sales. All in all, the experience was a bit disappointing.
I'd love someone to actually post a review on my book on Amazon.
I can email you an epub version if you'd like to read it.
Regardless, I have a few more stories to share. Why bother? Let me just say, it's like a busker playing to an empty street: It doesn't really matter who is listening as long as you connect with the music.
By the way, I also signed up here as an author, and I did get one review (and I thank you for that mystery reviewer).
My website is here: www.patrickmjlozon.com
I've a second novel, ready to publish, and I'd appreciate if someone would review. The title is a "A Bellicose Dance". It's not on amazon just yet...
When I do post it up on Amazon, I'd appreciate if you could post your review, and if you have a blog, that's great too.
I'll can email you an epub version. You can reach me at patrickmjlozon@gmail.com or through this site.
Thank You

My name is Euphemia Bloom and I am currently writing a romance novel with the view to self publish in Summer (this year!) I'm hoping to find someone to beta read for me. If anyone is at all interested in beta reading, I would greatly appreciate it if you DMd me so we can discuss my novel, the approach I'm taking to marketing the book, and what I hope to get out of having my novel beta'd !
Thank you all for your time, I greatly appreciate it!

Name's Vic and I'm a Creative Writing college student looking to review and beta read almost any fiction you wanna throw my way! I would appreciate payment but as I am new to both areas I understand being unsure about my quality of work. Since I am new to this and have no examples of reviews or beta reading, my first two reviews/readings will be free and my third through tenth will be at the reduced rate of $0.60 per 1000 words. You're welcome to message me here or email me at hargrovevic@gmail.com if you're interested.
Thank y'all!
Vic

My name is Brendan, and I'm a new author who recently published his first book. If anyone is interested in reviewing The Fractured Prism, please send me a message.

My name is Jan aka Author J.S. Scott and I am a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of steamy romance. I love to read all types of books and literature and write both contemporary romance stories and paranormal romance. All my books almost always feature an Alpha Male and have a happily ever after. I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my husband and two very spoiled German Shepherds.

I just discovered and joined this group. I’m looking forward to reading about all the readers and writers out there.
I’m a writer who needs readers to complete the loop. Playing catch is hard by yourself, though you can bounce the ball off a wall or throw it in the air and play with gravity, I suppose. Not the same satisfying smack to the mitt, though.
Currently, I play on the street corner at Smashwords, which is to say, I have a number of shorts and novellas available for free. Most have a fantastical element. You can see all in one easy location at scottspringer.com
There’s a contact form there too, if you’re so inclined to say hi.
Best to all,
Scott

My name is Zoe, and I have written erotica books since 2010. I've been here on Goodreads for exactly 3 years, but have only this last month pulled my finger out and started to properly engage... and I'm so glad I have, as I've made some truly amazing friends already, some of them friends that I will cherish for a long, long time to come :o)
My books are PWP (Porn Without Plot... well there is a little plot), and cover subjects such as cheating, femdom, cuckolding, BDSM, lesbian, lactation, paranormal, facesitting, spanking, a bit of feminisation, and also foot fetish... not all in one book mind you, but boy, what a book that would be!
I'm happy to chat about anything and everything, so please feel free to drop me a message and get in touch.
Happy reading and writing, Zoe

My website is here -- Drop me a line if you'd like to say hi!
Cheers!

Viral Dawn is a dystopian zombie novel featuring a strong female main character. The book was originally released several years ago as a novella aimed at YA reluctant readers. I revised and expanded the book in 2019 and re-released it in February. It now has approximately 93,000 words. The reading level has been adjusted for average to above average readers.
I would love to hear feedback and reviews on the story, as I take them all seriously and use them to improve the story. Plus, if you're willing to read and leave a review, I would be most appreciative.

While reading, I love sci-fi the most, but do not mind an occasional book on history (especially ancient cultures).

Hi, V. I'm glad to read that you are interested in reviewing children's books. Take a look at my four books and let me know whether you would like to review one or more of them. PM me. Thanks.

My name is Brett and I write nature fiction. My first novel The Yukon Wolf was published on Amazon last September. I joined this forum because I am looking for reviews.

Hello Brandie, I am Author De'Kari and I would love for you to review my book, it's an urban fiction if you are into that!

I'm Gerard, and I am an indieauthor that writes action and adventure fiction. My "Treasure Rebels" series features modern treasure hunters, and my short novel "Wrath of the Renegades" is all about 4 Renegades who have to fight over a 100 brutal pirates.
Great to meet you all, and happy to join this group!

Thanks,

A little about the book: Tough sassy cop has to go undercover and spy on a sexy billionaire who's labeled a potential criminal.
Excited to be part of this group.

My company is QT Games LLC. Just recently, I added an imprint for each of my universes to cover different products: Cosmoverse Publishing and Toonaria Publishing. Yeah, I'm a busy bee!

I'm always happy to answer questions about my universes and stories. Have an amazing weekend, all!

My name is M.I. O'Flaherty, and it's nice to make your acquaintance. My story follows around a police detective from modern day as he finds himself thrown into a fantasy world. I'm pretty proud of the story and I'm looking for some review and feedback from you avid readers out there.
Have a great summer all and I look forward to hearing from you.

I'm new to goodreads and just getting used to how the whole thing works.
I'm a reader and a writer. My reading preferences are varied. I'll read anything from thrillers to classics to literary fiction (as well as non-fiction, particularly on history or politics).
I've also just self-published my first novel, which is a political thriller set in the Paris catacombs.
Presumably this means that I should have the chance to enter into contact with a wide range of goodreads members.
Best,
Claire

My name is Dean Fox and I write hotwife/cuckold novellas and novelettes, about half of which are interracial. I love exploring human sexuality and loving relationships through my writing. As such, all of my work features couples who are deeply in love with each other, playful, and having fun discovering what turns them on.
"Accidental Hotwife" is my most popular work at 27K words, and "Emily's Treats" (which is set during Halloween) is my most recent.
Although I signed up for GR some time ago, I felt a bit overwhelmed and lost, and subsequently put it on the back burner for a while. I'm just now circling back to dive in more fully. I look forward to finding new readers, reviewers, and making friends here. :)
