Especially interesting in light of our current read Serena in which the dialect of the "Highlanders" is collected by one of the Pemberton Lumber executives, tracing phrases back to old English and Scottish Dialects. Horace Kephart wrote extensively of North Carolina mountain residents in Our southern highlanders.
