Sure I am interested. My email address is bkmcavoy(at)gmail(dot)com.
Congrats on your latest project! Was it hard shifting from writing non-fiction to fiction? I hope to make that shift sometime in the future too.

honestly speaking i didn't truly realize how much i love writing before I made the switch! I was a journalist and also did PR for a short while. When I was in college, I had been told by my Pulitzer winning professor I was a good writer. I didn't give too much thought into it because I was more into broadcast journalism. I have always known I was a decent writer, but I wasn't passionate about it. Now I know why--I was writing someone else's stories, not mine.

Very interesting! I am contemplating the shift. Since I have a PhD in psychology, non fiction is very familiar to me. You have an idea to communicate and you proceed to define, provide education, and summarize it. Seems very straightforward.
Fiction is completely different. I have a story arc in my head and a few characters. How do I expand all of this into a full-fledge story? I have been making a few friends here who will probably enjoy helping me :). Thanks for sharing your journey!
RE: preferred format- mobi would be great!

You know what, I think watching TV and movie does help A LOT with fiction writing. I know some people think TV makes you dumb. I disagree. Quality TV like Game of Thrones stimulates thinking and creatively. You'll learn what the audience expects and what hooks them. I've learned a lot about story telling through watching TV and movies. When I write, I picture everything in my head. I know exactly how this particular house looks like and how the room is decorated. I think it shows in the writing too. At least that's what my friends told me after they test-read it. :)

Here is blurb:
"Get ready to be sucked into this suspenseful treasure hunt with a drop of love.
No one has ever questioned Violet Lancaster’s ability to change the world. As a brainy and self-righteous PhD student at the prestigious Georgetown University, Violet is determined to make a name for herself in Washington, D.C., by working hard to pay her dues, but her moral system is turned upside down when she runs into a man in distress on a lonesome night.
Josh Levinson was born into an elite Philadelphia family in the year 1776, when the thirteen colonies declared independence from Britain. Together they break every human and supernatural law to hunt down a mystical Native American bow and arrow in hopes to liberate an entire species and to keep it from the evil tyrants from the Far East.
Florid Eyes takes you on an intricate adventure intertwined with an epic romance."
It's about 82,000 long. Anyone who is interested can leave me your email or send me a message. I'm more than happy to send you an epub or mobi. Your help is much needed! Thank you!
