I love books about 'broken men' finding happiness. I just put this on my Amazon wish list earlier today even though I've had mixed results with this author. Liked his Deep Blues Goodbye (co-written with L.E. Harner), DNF his Second Chances. I may wait to start this until the third & final part comes out though, in case #2 also ends with a cliffhanger.

My buddies in the BackLot Gay Book Forum had been going on forever about T.A. Webb's "City Knight" series within the larger Pulp Friction series. When the compilation of the five City Knight books appeared, I snapped it up. And I'm glad I did. Marcus and Ben - and the expanding circle of friends/family whom we meet in the course of the five volumes - are heartwarming and authentic. Because the format is a series of novellas, plot narrative moves along quickly, but without feeling rushed or truncated as so many shorter format books can feel. Of course, I suspect I'll need to eventually read all of the other series in the Pulp Friction group to get the full picture.
But for now, "City Knight" is a great start.
