Dear Publishers and Authors,

I am Emily Minton-Hightower. I live in Elkton, Kentucky. I worked as a teacher assistant for seven years. I now run a day-care. I love to read, but I love teaching others to read even more.

I also wrote a bi-weekly article for the newspaper News and Views in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. These articles can range from current events to movie and book reviews.

I have been writing reviews for nearly sixteen years. I share my reviews on Amazon,Twitter, Facebook, Rate My Romance Facebook page, Goodreads, and my blog. I have nearly 700 followers. I usually receive between three and eleven comments per review. I know my reviews have led many to purchase books.

My name is Tyeesha Webb, and I am SAHM to 3 boys. I live in Eastern Ky. I work as a Substitute Paraeducator at my sons' school. I love love love to read...all types of books. I actually hadn't read in years, until I picked up the Twilight series...I have been hooked since.

One of my favorite authors is Marie Force. I love the Fatal series. I love all genres of books, but Romance books are a favorite. I'm Kim, Submariner's wife, full time book reviewer, college student, and mom of two girls 15 & 9, and we all 3 review books full time for SF Book Review, largest published review publication in the US. I have a BS in Game Art & Design (yeah video games) as well as a BA in Social Science; EDU concentration and a Minor in History. Working on my MA is Classical and Ancient History. I have adult ADD and it is what drives my passion for books and my yearnin' for learnin'!

I also review and tech blog for Mother/Gamer/Writer and just started reviewing for Author Alliance. I just recently started my own website/blog and post all my reviews there.

I post all of my reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, B&N, NetGalley, Smashwords, LibraryThing, Book Depository, Pinterest, Twitter, G+, and my FB Page as long as they're in the database, and always on my website.

I generally will read and review any genre except Westerns and Religion, unless it is informative Religion, such as about a certain religion, but no devotionals or "Learning to live with Christ/Allah/Spaghetti" type books.

Hi, my name is Kerra Weinert and I love reviewing books because I just enjoy reading that much. I have read and reviewed alot of books, mostly for indi authors. I usually read 10 books at once to keep things interesting for me. I also would like you to know when I review a book I review it on all aspects, but I mostly judge it on how the book makes you feel and if the story it's self is captivating. I don't like to judge a book on grammar and little things such as that, but I do let the author be aware if I find any. If you would like me to read and review your books, just be spacific on what aspect of the book you want reviewed. I will also be honest, if I don't or didn't like your book I will be honest with you and therefore will give you the option of having me post a review or not, so that way your reputation wont get destroyed and you have some time to fix or perfect your book depending on the feedback you recieve from several reviews. You can also check out my reviews here under my name, and you can also go to amazon and see my reviews there as well. Just recently I reviewed the book "Dog and Butterfly" by John Raffice, and he liked my reivew of his first book "Waiting for Pops" so much that he sent me is MS to read and review it before he published it and I am a book critic listed on the back.
Granted I am 24, just started doing this 2 years ago, not saying everyone of my reviews are punctual or perfect critically, but they are always true and most avid readers like reviews like mine because they are down to earth and give a great impression on books they might love to read. They need a friendly voice to encourage them to read books, not a super stern or perfessional critic one.

I am accepting books from indie, small and large presses as well as those that are self-published. I accept both print & ebooks. I prefer ebooks in Mobi format, though if you pitch it well enough I will take it in PDF.
I lean towards YA, YA Paranormal & Supernatural, Dystopian fantasy and yes Chick Lit. I’m not a huge fan of zombie books & Sci-Fi but on the latter I will consider. Again it will be how you pitch it to me.
Crime, period drama and thrillers are also something I don’t lean towards but am happy to consider.

If you wish to have a review before a certain date please let me know. Please note however I do need time to comfortably read it :) .
I post my reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, Smashwords (if it’s available there), Barnes & Noble, on my blog which will go onto my Facebook page and Twitter.
I will never rip an author’s work (been there) but I will give an honest review of how the book made me feel, character development and how well the story unfolded.

My ratings are as follows:

5 stars: I can’t move on with my life because the book was THAT awesome.

4 stars: This is possibly one of the best reads I’ve had and I thoroughly recommend it.

3 stars: It was good, it didn’t light me on fire but overall it was okay.

2 stars: I struggled with it.

1 star: I don’t give them!

If I feel a book is going into the 1 or 2 star areas I will email you privately to explain why I have rated it that way.

I read mostly romance and mystery but I also love historical fiction, true crime, biography, performance arts, fantasy, paranormal or urban fantasy.
I actually read the books I review. No skimming! I write thoughtful reviews and post them to all the usual places. ( GR, Amazon, Library Thing, my blog, book blogs, Facebook ( my personal page and my blog page) and twitter. I review for WLC, Book Tweeting Service, Netgalley, Edelweiss, and take personal author request. I review for indies, small publishers, and well established authors and large publishers.
I love reading, sharing my thoughts and discussing books. I never trash an author or post negative reviews. My policy is to contact the publisher or author if the review will not be posted.
Please afford me the same courtesy. I do not edit or remove my review once it is posted. Please do not ask me to. My reviews belong to me. If you want to use part of my review for promotion purposes just let me know. I've never turned anyone down before.
I work very hard on my reviews and although I do not get paid for what I do, I treat it like a profession. I take what I do very seriously.
