Julia and I are pretty lax when it comes to rules. Basic rule here is just be nice to everyone and to treat each other with respect, which we all do.

That being said, we're adding a new, official rule:

No Bragging Allowed

I've seen a few people both here and on Twitter bragging about invites they got to publisher parties. It's cool that you snagged an invite to a party (or ten), but throwing it in someone's face who isn't going isn't cool. Even passively or offhandedly saying that you can't do BLANK because you're going this this party.

I get it, OK? It's cool and it's fun and you're excited, but as excited as you are, someone is just as disappointed they aren't going.

If we see comments like that, they'll get deleted. If you repeatedly make posts like that, you'll get removed from the group.

There. Now that all that seriousness is out of the way, let's get back to talking about how awesome BEA and how much fun we're all gonna have!
