Heaven is for Real
question
Question 1 /hixson

In this book, "Heaven is For Real", a little boy Colton shares his experiences of 'dying' and then goingto heaven. He talks about what happens in heaven, and this includes the singing of angels to him. He says they sang songs to him like "Jesus loves me" and "Joshua fought the Battle Of Jericho" .Colton says one of the angels looked like his Grandpa Dennis, except he didn't have glasses anymore. Colton also shares that he was sitting in Jesus' lap. I strongly believe this story because I am a Christian, but what do you think? Do you think Heaven really is ,for real? Do you think angels could really visit this young boy while he was in a coma? Or do you think it was just a dream....? What do you think "angels" look like? My personal opinion is that angels are very scary looking, because of what it says in the bible when they approached the shepherds in the field. The first thing they said was, "do not be afraid." However, your opinion may be different from mine, so please share your share what you think about heaven, angels, and do you think that this boy's story is true....Or just a dream...?

I don't think it was a dream. I don't think it could have been just a dream. How could have Colton known about his sister that died because of miscarriage? How could he have known all the information about Heaven he never had been taught about? How could he have known what his parents were doing? The only solution: this is a true story, Colton went to Heaven.

I believe Colton's experience of heaven was authentic, but I also believe that Anita Moorjani's experience in "Dying To Be Me" was equally as authentic. I'm not sure how to reconcile the two because Colton came back dogmatically believing that when you die, you have to have Jesus in your heart to reach heaven, while Anita came back believing in unconditional love that will surround us all, no matter what our religious beliefs.
I love this book and believe every single word in this book. Colton did indeed go to heaven and came back. Back up: met his sister who died in a miscarriage, met paps who no one talked about, talked about the amazing details awaiting upon us that our eternity will be. He said he sat on Jesus' lap WOW! No dream, just a miracle that happened for a reason.
I believe its all false. The boy is coached by his father as to what he "saw." He has grown up in an extremely religious household with references to "god", the bible, "jesus", etc... every single day. The book is completely unauthentic. I've woke up believing a dream I had too but was it real, NO! If i had someone coaching me to believe it was real, it probably believe it more. NO NO NO! Can't even begin to explain my disgust for people who believe this load of crap!
I believe it is all real it is defiantly not a dream. He experienced God's power and he went to heaven.
Colton's story is authentic and his story is un-coerced by his parents. In the time since Colton shared his experience with his parents and through the publishing of the book, his story has gone un-impeached. You can choose to believe or not to...we'll all find out later.

Either way, I WANT to believe this is For REAL. His description and experiences are what I am hoping for when my time comes.

I believe it's real. My mom was in a car accident and had a "near death" experience. She was in a coma for an extended period of time. After coming out of it, she shared stories of walking with Jesus. While she was still recovering, she did have many "dreams." In more than one Jesus and my deceased uncle told her I was pregnant (being 17 of course I denied it), but I was and to this day she still swears she walked and talked to Jesus and my dead uncle Tim. And I'm still wondering why they ratted me out!
"Can't begin to explain my disgust for PEOPLE who believe this...."
I understand that you might have a difference of opinion on a specific topic, but to say you have disgust for the people that believe differently?....

I believe this story may be real - but totally false and untrustworthy.
Like Brandi said little Burpo grew up in a Pastor's house surrounded by a very charismatic Dad and church. So of course he heard all these things everyday of his life.
Here's the tricky part: Are there Demons? The Bible says so. What exactly are they busy doing? Filling people's heads full of stuff like this. Very misleading stuff. Do demons know people's lives and secrets? Of course they do.
Why should we bother with the Holy Bible when we have Burpo stories? Wiese Stories? Baxter Stories? I could list many many others (and they all contradict many details.)
Who exactly does little Colton's story give maximum authority to: Pastor Daddy of course! How convenient. Remember when Colton said the Holy Spirit annoints his Daddies talks? Sounds like Benny Hinn crap to me.
The Devil has one job: to be the Father of lies and to twist the word of God ever so slightly. Eve fell for it...
