Cynthia (cynthidg) | 2 comments Hello Bentley, I agree to the t's and c's as well.

Andrew (acbsr) I am a private student of American History, predominately in concentration from the inception of this great nation through the Civil War years, though not necessarily exclusive to that. I have spent the past few months reading Gotham: A History of New York to 1898, which touches upon the Revolutionary War where New York was very involved. I've read David McCullough's 1776, Washington's Crossing, amongst others. My point is that I enjoy reading works on this subject matter from different perspectives. It provides a picture from different camera angles, if you will. Therefore I I am afforded a copy of Blood of Tyrants I would immensely enjoy participation in discussing it. And naturally I will abide by the T & C's

All, I will sift through all of the folks who have expressed interest so far soon and I will get back to you. However, make sure that you express interest here on this thread and make sure that you agree with the t's and c's also on this thread before sending me your personal information.

As an aside - also please realize that posting personal information on a thread is not a good idea. Simply send me a PM with that info and if I have not gotten back to you with a friend invite, be assured that I will and then send personal information that way.

Second - make sure to read the selection criteria because we do look at past contributions to judge future ones although we always give newbies a chance too. Make sure that you have done the basics like introducing yourself on the introduction thread - if you have not taken the time to even do the number one thing that is part of our rules and guidelines - how do you think we will feel about being able to count on you to be here during the discussion of the book. We want an active and lively discussion with the author.

So just be patient - I will keep the offer open so that interested parties can express their interest and post their agreement to the t's and c's on this thread through July 4th - Independence Day (sort of fitting for George Washington) and then I will post results soon thereafter.

So it is not too late to still express your interest in obtaining a free copy.

If you have sent me something, please be patient because my mailbox has been quite full due to this offer and I will get to it as soon as I am able.

Check out 75 - selection process open through the 4th - make sure to do the following, post interest here, agreed to the t's and c's here, then send me a PM with full name and full address and zip - not a good idea to leave that info on this thread. Read the selection criteria and make sure you introduced yourself. Very easy. But remember not everybody will receive books.

message 73: by Bryan (last edited Jul 03, 2013 06:38AM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Bryan Craig Jason, this topic is for the Washington book, so I deleted your post on Yosemite as not to confuse people. I see you found another thread to share this link about Yosemite. Thanks.

Jason | 104 comments Bryan wrote: "Jason, this topic is for the Washington book, so I deleted your post on Yosemite as not to confuse people. I see you found another thread to share this link about Yosemite. Thanks."

Actually, the link I shared was to a podcast about the book, the Washington one. The comment about Yosemite was just to say I found the link via research on another topic. You guys are super strict! But if you don't think anyone would be interested in hearing about the Washington book from the author thats cool. I was, so I shared the link.

Apologies,
Jason

Bryan Craig Then I must apologize to you, Jason. You are welcome to re-post the podcast on GW.

But, we do try to keep things as separate as possible, because a discussion on Yosemite really doesn't fit here.

message 82: by Bob (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bob (bobrosenthal) I have a goal of reading at least one book on every President before I die. Not going as fast as I'd like - right now reading about Zachary Taylor. Very interesting in reading about and discussing any of the founding fathers such as Washington. Would be pleased to be able to read and discuss.

I also agree to the t's and c's of the thread.
