Morbus Iff (morbus-iff) | 9 comments This is an unmerge request for the following books:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...

Contrary to what the index says, it is not a paperback, nor is it equivalent to the volume 1 paperbacks (the hardcover volume 1 encompasses volume 1 AND 2 of the paperbacks, so it's not even 1-for-1). I've previously contacted the librarian who thinks they merged these records (or, at least, was responsible for changing the series from hardcover to paperback), and they're OK with the unmerging.

Morbus Iff (morbus-iff) | 9 comments Is this the wrong category to ask in?

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Not the wrong category at all! Not really my area of knowledge, so a bit unsure what I am separating out.

Can you confirm which of the titles should be combined, and which should be separate.
Are there two "titles" here (the #1 and the #1 + #2) or more than that?

Morbus Iff (morbus-iff) | 9 comments Thanks Emy. Let me more explicit and add on another correction.

Here's the work in question:

http://www.goodreads.com/work/edition...

The following edition should be uncombined from the work (i.e., it should become its own work):

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10... ("Ultimate Fantastic Four, Vol. 1 (Ultimate Fantastic Four hardcovers, #1)).

The following foreign language edition should ALSO be unmerged from the work, and merged into the new work created above (it is another hardcover collection of the first 12 issues):

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15... (Ultimate Fantastic Four: Lo fantástico (Marvel Deluxe Ultimate Fantastic Four #1))

Incidentally, is unmerging/uncombining something only a mythical "Super Librarian" can do? How would I apply to become one?

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments No, any librarian can unmerge using the "Separate" links on the Combine page.

SupersLibrarians are discovered by some supersecret process that not even they know all about... ;)

Separated off #1 & #2 above to make their own "Work" - also added Librarian Notes to explain.

Can you check the titling now as I'm not confident they show the differences properly...

Morbus Iff (morbus-iff) | 9 comments Emy: OMG. I didn't see that stupid "Separate" link! I could have done this all along myself. I'm sorry for bothering you :( I'll go in and review your changes and correct anything else. Thanks for taking the time.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Hehe, no problem - it's how we learn after all :)
