when Jesus came the first time only Anna and Simeon were actually looking and recognized Jesus. Why do we think we're so smart this time 'round?

That is a very good point.

That's why wrote the book. It lays out a scenario that mets the prophetic requirements as far as I can tell, but it's quite different from the stereotypical end-times book. I hope it's a fun read.
