Kelly Hull (kellyvan) | 118 comments Just wondering, since a lot of stuff coming out is self-published, what is (in your opinion) the best self-published book you have read?

message 2: by Peggy (new)

Peggy Holloway | 393 comments The Remnant by Chandler McGrew.

message 3: by Elle (new)

Elle Jacklee | 33 comments It's hard to narrow it down to just one, so how about one series: The Muirwood Trilogy by Jeff Wheeler. (He is currently working with 47North, but these books were originally self-pub'd.)

message 4: by Ultra (new)

Ultra Violet | 1 comments Sewerville by Aaron Saylor. I was really impressed by the writing in that.

message 5: by Carmen (new)

Carmen Amato (authorcarmenamato) | 33 comments If you like crime fiction, check out Over the Shoulder by fellow indie author Jason Beech. The book needed a better editor but was a great premise and he's got some strong descriptive passages.

message 6: by Sadie (new)

Sadie Forsythe | 68 comments I recently read The Bone Road and thought it very good.

message 12: by Amber (new)

Amber Sauer | 1 comments I'm pretty surprised at the number of good self-pubs out there this year. I like Cuban Sun by Ann and Bryn Bauer. Cuban Sun (Sofia Koury, #1) by Ann Bauer

message 13: by Judy (new)

Judy Goodwin | 136 comments Angelfall, and also Free Falling.

I've found quite a few passably good books as well, but I enjoyed those in particular.

message 14: by Harmony (new)

Harmony Kent (harmonyk) definitely Angelfall is the best self published book I have found. I also like Nicky Charleswith her Lycan series The Matingetc. As you can see, fantasy fiction is a genre that I love to read.
